Good model
This is a good kit. It is also relatively easy to construct.

Oldie but goodie
Fantastic little kit for its 1974 vintage. Mine went together really well with no filler required. There was no flash on the plastic parts, detail is good for the scale and my only criticism is the rubber band tracks which had quite a bit of flash and were difficult to join. Otherwise though a lovely kit and I think one of the better Vintage Classics.

Vintage Classic Product
A lot of reviews seem to be quite scathing, about airfix not releasing kits of the same quality as in the old days. However this is a vintage classics kit, it's an affordable kit using tooling from 1968, for people looking for a simple kit with good quality that holds up. Although it should always be known this comes with an understanding of problem solving with model kits as it's not going to be a contemporary high quality standard. Overall this kit comes with options for 2 different builds of the T-34 and for the most part goes together very happily and for what I paid I'm very happy with the quality. It definitely holds up despite it's age. It doesnt contain paints, like the vadt majority of model kits on the market. (Assume kits don't unless they specify they do!) It's in 1:76 scale, so sits a little small against more modern kits in 1:72 scale, which is probably my only complaint.

Airfix are a National Treasure
This is a very old casting from the 60s/70s and fiddly to assemble the tracks and wheels but an excellent model, just had two cataract operations so wanted to test myself with something challenging now I've recovered. Love Airfix and haven't done any kits since I was a kid in the late 60's .

Not bad for such a tiny scale
You need patience with the tiny parts. The plastic sprues are not near as good as tamiya but a doable model. The turret will need a better attachment solution as this one just pops into a hole in the turret ring without any fixing. The tracks assembly and painting were the worst. They eventually stick together but no point painting them before putting them on the wheels. Paint and primer just peels off. Had the same problem with a trumpeter kv-1 kit. Again, tamiya knows how to produce rubber tracks much better. All in all, you can build a tiny, cute panzer iv but you will need patience. The details on the hull are giod for some basic weathering.

Not really for the beginner and despite its age little flash on parts.
(As is common with most kits no paints or glue are supplied) Despite this Vintage Classic kit dating from 1967 the plastic parts carry very little flash. The model is a little tricky to assemble in places, particularly the rubber band tracks, which didn’t seem to reach all the way around my tank and left a gap. I filled it with plastic card (so I put the join on the bottom). I glued the tracks on with 5 minute epoxy from Gorilla. The rear steering wheels also gave me trouble and I had to just glue them in position despite the instructions saying they can be adjustable. Lots of YT videos on how to build and paint this model, I went with the rear box art paint scheme, which apparently was to try and hide the tanks from enemy planes and spotter balloons before the battle, they ditched the idea pretty quickly as it just got covered in mud. Overall it’s a cheap kit (I paid £7 for mine) and despite it’s issues I had fun making and painting it. It seems relatively accurate to the one I've seen in the tank museum, although more skilled builders can modify it more. I wouldn’t buy it as a first kit though best to stick with a more modern kit and try this when the builder has more experience.
