Review: Clear, Easy-to-Follow Guide. Ideal for Learning the Cube - This is an excellent Rubik’s Cube handbook and a great present for anyone wanting a clear and structured learning guide. The instructions are easy to follow, well-illustrated, and broken down step by step, making learning far less intimidating. It explains the logic behind each stage clearly and helps build understanding rather than just memorising moves. Suitable for beginners but still interesting as skills improve. A really useful guide that does exactly what it promises. Review: Brilliant book, easy to follow. - Solving any puzzle takes a bit of getting your head around, this book makes it easy to follow, once you’ve got your head around the instructions. It took two attempts to get my head around it & I completed the cube on the 2nd attempt, something i don’t remember achieving as a kid back in the 80’s! The solutions are algorithm based which are simple & clear enough to follow & it never ceases to amaze me how well they work! There was a moment when I got stuck & thought the book was wrong as I couldn’t get an algorithm to work, but I realised i was holding the cube the wrong way.. after that it worked perfectly every time. Excellent book! Recommend for all ages.

Very good book. Was so much easier to solve than I thought!
Very easy to follow, and makes it amazingly easy to solve (with the book!). I would just say, there are a few places in the book where it's hard to understand which direction the cube is supposed to be facing. Not everywhere, just 2 or 3 times. For my 9 year old, i had to write some extra notes in the book to point out what they mean for front. It's not obvious enough, but would have been incredibly simple to clarify in the pictures. Just an arrow, or a dot, whatever! once you've done this, you'll sail through it the 2nd time.

It works!! I can solve it! Finally, after all these years!
Positive: The headline says it all. When I was a kid, I used to pull these apart to solve them. Finally (aged 40) I can solve it. After a little while, I was able to solve without the book (using the simple method). Of course, it takes your own patience and practice but the book is well written and simple. Negative: some of the diagrams are little ambiguous in terms of direction and orientation. Can't help but think I didn't need this book and could just have bookmarked a website. But could say that about a lot of books. Overall: Simple guide will get you solving the cube. Easy enough to read and follow (a few bumps and ambiguous instructions).

Does what it says
This is a great book. I have tried to solve the cube using youtube videos but having a book is far superior. It has a nice section on the history of the cube too. The main part provides a step by step breakdown moving from the white side through the layers and to the opposite side. An excellent feature is that it has every movement recorded in a key at the bottom of every page, so you don't need to flick around to remind yourself what D' means. A couple of tips: trust the steps, they work. If you think they have not worked its because you have made an error following the algo. I have now done it using the book many times with my daughter and its clear that it works if you follow it accurately. Secondly, read the instructions VERY carefully. The most easy thing to get wrong is the starting orientation for a particular step. The book's diagrams are not as clear as they could be in showing which is the 'front' face, it actually switches between diagrams. However the narrative description always makes it clear what you should have at the front. My 9 year old has got real confidence from working through the steps and achieving the solution, but it has taken many hours. Adult help is definitely needed, but not because the book is hard to follow - it's because solving is complex. Good luck!

works but not kindle friendly
Had a struggle to read the small sized letters. I Can’t seem to make the text bigger or use landscape.

Excellent guide
Had no clue how to solve the cube. This excellent guide begins by explaining the cube's design and workings, then a language for its instructions, with clear and colourful illustrations, before guiding the reader through sequences of moves that will solve it. Then as a bonus it hints at methods for faster solution by the increasingly confident user. Great value.

Amazing book 😍
This book is amazing 😍 But it is missing a step. When doing the cross, at least 2 edges should match their centres, and then you can swap the other 2 , if the ones matching are adjacent hold the cube so they are facing front and left and do R' U R U' R', if they are opposites hold the cube so they are left and right and do : R2 L2 U2 R2 L2. Now all edges match their centres, follow the book. 😁 I love it, Even doing patterns now😁😁😁
