Moisturizing but Mild
I wanted to try this product not for hair growth, but to address my dry scalp. I don't have dandruff or itchiness, but I find my scalp is dry and flaky rather than what I would think of as moisturized and healthy. I like the slow-pour mouth of this container, I like that the product seems gentle and unlikely to cause an adverse reaction, and I like that there are no extraneous ingredients. I do think it has the intended effect, however it's quite mild, so I'm not sure about the value and whether this will become a fixture in my routine.

Great for hair repair
I bought this after my most recent highlighting hair salon visit with bleach seemed to over-process, leaving it dry and brittle. I applied it from root to tip in braids overnight. It doesn’t have a sticky unappealing texture like other brands and isn’t challenging to remove. I feel like my hair is 100% better. Shinier, softer, curlier, and back to as normal as possible after one treatment. I’m going to incorporate it into my weekly routine and will be using it to break the gel cast of my curls.

Rich texture
The oil has a rich texture that feels luxurious without being too heavy, and it is easy to apply without making a mess, which is a big plus for me. The first time I used it, I massaged it into my scalp and let it sit for a while, and I immediately noticed how soothing it felt. The earthy, natural scent made the whole process feel relaxing, almost like a little spa moment at home. Washing it out was easier than I expected, and I loved how soft and nourished my hair felt afterward. Over the next few weeks, I started noticing my scalp feeling healthier and less dry, with a noticeable reduction in flakiness that used to bother me. My hair also started to feel stronger and looked shinier, which made me smile because it felt like I was finally doing something right for it. The process of applying the oil has become something I genuinely enjoy, as it feels like I am giving my hair and scalp the attention they deserve. It is not an instant fix, but there is something so satisfying about seeing small improvements over time and knowing I am putting in the effort. The oil feels like a little secret weapon for both my scalp and hair, and it has made me more mindful about taking the time to care for myself in such a simple but rewarding way.

Good oil, but does not grow hair
This is a great moisturizing oil for the face and hair. A little goes a long way. It doesn't grow hair though.

A Thoughtful Addition to a Holistic Hair Care Routine with Simple and Smart Ingredients
Many moons ago, during a stressful period in my life (a divorce, though it was amicable), I started noticing more hair in the shower drain than usual. Even the most peaceful life transitions can take a toll, and in my case, it showed up as hair loss.Back then, I came across a book written by a hair specialist who shared an herbal remedy containing stinging nettle and burdock root - ingredients said to support blood circulation in the scalp and follicles. Since healthy blood flow is essential for hair growth, it made sense to me. I tried the homemade mixture and my hair eventually returned to its normal fullness. I credit both the remedy, healthy hair habits, and the gradual return to emotional equilibrium.Fast forward 18 years, and I’m now seeing signs of age- and hormone-related thinning. When I saw this oil and noticed it included two of the ingredients from the old remedy, I decided to give it a try.Two to three times a week, I warm up the oil and massage it into the thinning area of my scalp and leave it on for an hour before shampooing. (A 30 to 60-minute scalp massage using special oils can can cost between $50 and $150 at some 5-star spas!) I also want to mention that I use a bioidentical hormone (estriol), which has helped as well.Do I believe one product alone can totally transform your hair? Not really. But I do believe that certain ingredients - especially when used consistently and combined with healthy grooming habits (a clean scalp, scalp massage, gentle brushing starting from the bottom and working up, the right brushes) - can make a big difference. In short: this oil has a simple and smart ingredient list and feels like a nourishing addition to a more holistic approach for scalp, follicle, and hair health. It's definitely a good tool in the toolkit.
