My niece has been raising chickens for several years and has used other incubators that resulted in very poor hatch rates so we decided to try this unit. She won’t be raising a brood until the weather warms, so we just unboxed the unit and gave all the functions a quick trial. She plans to update this posting and report on the hatch rate this spring.The unit arrived in good condition with all of the pieces. As others have mentioned, set up was incredibly easy. Select the egg tray (chicken/duck or small eggs), add water, and plug it in. It is factory preset to 100 deg F and 60% humidity as recommended for chickens. Adjustments to these setting are very straightforward.The main thing I wanted to test was the accuracy, uniformity and stability of the temperature setting. At startup, I inserted a digital BBQ thermometer that I have previously tested for accuracy. The unit heated up about 30 degrees in a matter of minutes and matched the test thermometer that I had placed at egg level to within a half a degree. Over a four hour test period, it held the temperature right at 100 degrees plus/minus a few tenths. I consider these superior results, and the combination of a strong heater, an effective recirculation fan, an accurate and calibrated temperature probe, and a sensitive/quick controller give me confidence that the unit will perform well when the time comes.A few final comments. The humidity level needed the unit to heat up before it arrived at the set point as expected, and I like the fact that the water feed bottles were visible and easy to see when they needed to be refilled. Also, this unit was extremely quiet. Finally, I intentionally opened the unit during the test period to see how it handled the disruption. It immediately started beeping a temperature deviation warning and quickly brought it back to the set point. I can think of a couple situations where that is probably a very useful feature.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fantastic little incubator. Shipping was super fast and packaged very nicely. In the video I show everything that is included in the package, but it was heating up nicely when I immediately plugged it in and looks like a great quality incubator. It is a smart incubator so that is a huge plus for anyone. I really like this. I think it’s a great value for the price.

I have used this product three times to hatch chicken eggs. There are several features that need improvement. The lid is difficult to place back onto the base to achieve a tight fit. You have to keep moving it until it finally slides into place. My biggest concern is that I have never seen the automatic egg turner actually turn the eggs. It is supposed to turn every two hours automatically. It does not. I have to manually press the turn button on the lid which means the eggs are not being turned as often as I would like. The turning process is a gentle rocking of the eggs and some eggs don't turn due to their position. This is a big disappointment to me. You can easily see the eggs hatching thru the clear lid for a plus. When measuring the temperature reading against other thermometers, the reading on the unit is always lower. However, the temperature is consistently lower so you can adjust the temperature accordingly. Until you have actually hatched eggs with a unit, you can't really determine the performance or value for dollars spent. I purchased in February 2025.

I was impressed when I received this incubator. It is light but seems well built. This is my discovery as I unpacked it and set it up. The instructions are fairly thorough but there are some wrong uses of words but it is easily enough interpreted to its meaning. There is no "on" and "off" switch, but I think that is common on incubators. The trays do not say up or down so place them correctly. I ran it for 2+ hours for the test run according to directions. It measured up. There is a small window at the top of the dome that says "on" and "off." It should say "open" and "closed." I thought I should point that out. The print on the top is in very small white letters on a yellow background which make them hard to read but I was able to make it out. I hope this helps and if I discover anything else important, I will add to this.

I try my best to not speak ill of anyone or any company. But wanted to share so maybe you can make an informed purchase decision.I will simply state that on lockdown day, when humidity is to increase to 70% and this level is critical for the eggs surviving and the chicks hatching, this product malfunctioned and failed to raise above 50%. Yes, I read the manual, and yes it had both water bottles filled.

This unit hold its temperature and humidity well. Just add water to the bottles and set the humidity level you want to maintain. Temperature holds with in a degree or two. The unit is not real big so it doesnt take up a lot of space, easy to setup with or without the directions.

Not sure what the deal is. Never had as low a Hatch rate only thing I can figure was the incubator
