One of the only clean protein shakes vegan or otherwise. I got the Chocolate/Peanut butter first and it has not a trace of chocolate taste, it taste like peanut butter which is fine, its not a bad taste and its perfectly drinkable. We saw we were going to grind through the 5 pound jug quickly so bought another one and got a Double Chocolate flavor. We use one scoop of each and that just barely gives a slight chocolate flavor. Its Peanut butter with a slight chocolate which is good. Its totally drinkable because its actual sugar and not those horrible sugar substitutes, all of them taste the same, like that old 1970s saccharin taste which is just awful. Like seed oils, its damn near impossible to find anything without one or the other in it. Just the fact that it doesn't have horrible sweeteners nor seed oils makes it basically like a golden unicorn. 99.8% of all the others have at least one of these, most have both. Being an old man (66) there's no possible way to get the 180gr of protein per day I am supposed to get to try to keep muscle especially since I am vegan. Even drinking 3 of these a day I am lucky to end up with about 150gr a day of protein. As far as I've seen this is about your only choice if you want a clean protein drink. I just mix with about 10 oz of cold water and use a coffee frother to mix it. The taste is perfectly fine especially double chocolate mixed with chocolate peanut butter.

this item has no other ingredients but what is on the label. clean, pure pea protein, with no lead ( google for yourself, how many pea and whey protein mixes have high residual amounts of heavy metals, lead and Cadmium.) the flavour is not sweet at all. so I added very ripe banana and blueberries, as well as 2 teaspoons of stevia. it then tastes like a milkshake . very impressed that the 5 lb container = 61 servings!! a previous pea protein that i had used for the last 2 years, barely gave me 9 or ten servings at a price of 25 dollars In conclusion, if you want clean protein, good taste with adding fruit and or spinach you will get a great tasting smoothie protein shake.

Tastes like an early Joe Weider formula I used to favour. However there is no vanilla taste to this product at all which is very disappointing. Guess I'll be stuck with ordering the one without vanilla next time.

Honestly, I wasn't sure about this because so many reviews state that the flavour is REALLY bad -- it's not?? I don't get what that's all about because it just tastes like powdered peas if it had less flavour. Obviously it's not going to taste sweet because it's unflavoured, but it's not an overly bitter taste, if much taste at all. It's perfect for blending into matcha, teas, or slow cooker recipes to add extra protein into my diet. It hardly adds any taste difference to my teas or recipes; I don't notice a difference. Taste: Slightly chalky, minimally bitter. If you don't like the minimal taste that it has, just mix it with some cacao powder or vanilla, or something that has a more potent flavour to it. Mixing Quality: I find it easier to mix into my drinks with an electric milk frother and not by shaking it or using a fork. If I'm putting it into cooking recipes, it just dissolves on its own. Expiration Date: It's expiration date is set to December 2026, which gives me over 1.5yrs to consume it. That's fairly good. **Also, I have a weak stomach and find it hard to digest certain foods. This has never given my stomach any issues with pain or bloating. Actually, it's one of the better protein powders I've tried for my weak stomach. I've had some issues with the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey which was recently the best one I've tried, but this definitely beats that in concerns with being more easily digestable.

What is perfection in a protein powder? 1). Excellent Price; 2). No Issues With Taste 3). Clean pertaining to heavy metals issue; 4). Fantastic amount of protein per serving; 5) Low in calories; 6). Blendable; 7). Non-chalky texture I love this protein powder for all of the above reasons. I purchased the neutral one to give it a try and the price was definitely in my budget compared to all the other fancy-pansy protein powders on the market laden with who knows what (as far as heavy metals are concerned). I blended it with just water, 1/2 tbsp of Stevia and 1/2 tbsp pure unsweetened cocoa powder. It mixed smoothly. No, it doesn’t taste like your fat prominent, sugar-filled diabetic inducing McDonald’s milkshake, but there is absolutely nothing discerning about the taste of this clean, neutral-tasting product. It is also the type of product to which one can add fruit or anything desired, and it will take on the taste of the added products (which is a plus!); this is because, despite other questionable reviews, this does NOT taste like peas or vegetables of any kind. At worst, it simply tastes like nothing. Thus, you can make it take on ANY taste desired by adding whatever you wish- or not. My opinion only: Perhaps this protein powder is not for the sugar spoiled pallets of the world- or even those not totally dedicated to good, clean health. But for me, this is a perfect product (which hopefully will not be altered for picky tongues), which I will continue to purchase. Thank you!
