1U Rack Mount for Raspberry Pi 5/4B, with 4PCS PCIe to M.2 NVMe SSD Adapters and OLED Display, Compatible with 19 Inch Server Rack

Projet en cours : monter une IA LLM sur Raspberry. Et Amazon me propose ce rack ? Parfait ! 😃 L'idée est de les faire tourner sur Ollama avec AI HAT+. Ce rack me permet d’aligner trois Raspberry pour les tests et un pour ma domotique. Tout regrouper, c’est beaucoup plus propre et bien pensé. Je vais construire un petit meuble pour accueillir cette baie. Les plateaux amovibles, c’est génial ! J’avais commencé à imprimer en 3D quelque chose de similaire, mais je me rends compte que celui-là est incomparablement mieux. 😊 Peu de critiques à faire sur ce produit. Par exemple, je ne trouve pas où acheter un traîneau supplémentaire si je veux passer à cinq Raspberry et supprimer l’écran. Il manque aussi les vis pour les NVMe, donc prévoyez-en. Sinon, c’est intuitif. Les ports HDMI montés en façade sont bien pratiques, l’extension SSD et les câbles aussi. L’écran OLED est sympa, mais je n’en aurai pas besoin. Le manuel fourni est assez complet, mais pourrait être plus clair : il y a quelques erreurs. Bref, niveau esthétique, ça fait super pro ! Côté organisation, c’est génial, et niveau praticité, je ne pouvais pas espérer mieux, surtout comparé à mon support imprimé en 3D. 😆 Précision : Produit reçu gratuitement (mais imposable), mon avis reste honnête, je ne gagne rien de plus si vous achetez. J’évalue les produits au mieux de mes convictions et de mes connaissances (donc je peu faire des erreurs). 👍

I also own and have done a more extensive review on the larger 10X PCIe to M.2 which is otherwise identical to this 4X 1U version, they come in the same minimalistic but tough brown boxes/packaging - but then once opened each board is further protected/wrapped individually as well, and protective film so this is a comprehensive and well thought out kit by GeeekPi. The manual is also very good and extensive, there is absolutely nothing missing in the kit, all cables bolts and mounting nuts and a HDMI to micro HDMI cable for good measure. Odds are if you're looking to buy one of these rather specialist items or variants you're already a highly competent RaspberryPi/Networking/Tech enthusiast, so this product is going to be very appealing to this subset of consumers. In terms of actual usage and applications, the potential for countless DIY projects are endless with the Pi4/5 I always have several generic "projects" going on pretty much all the time, it's part of the fun. Needless to say I need to buy some more Pi boards but when this came up I didn't hesitate from GeeekPi an established reputable and specialist company, I've got a few ideas of what I'm going to do with this and my similar 2U rack, though I don't have nearly enough boards yet to begin the project I've tested some of my existing (in use) Pi 5's and it works no problem although I've got 4x they're currently in use, but I might "borrow" them! The wrack itself is solidly built and constructed presumably of aluminium with a good matte black paint job finish, so the quality of the rack is excellent as you would expect and with wide compatibility for cabinets or your own DIY networking, if that's the route you go down there's many unique uses for this. Also the PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD adapters and the boards themselves that support multiple size M.2s quality is very good, connectors, pins and everything looks like it's been very well manufactured with the S2PI logo in like contrasting gold with a black/gold matching colour scheme somewhat so they even look stylish even though these are minor no functionality details. There's even a wiki link page, although I don't think anybody is going to struggle with assembly of these, from GeeekPi I can expect good aftersales and warranty support, although you'd have to try very hard to damage the wrack, all parts are packaged and with the manual labelled for easy installation. I think these are going to be very appealing for the enthusiast consumers it's designed for, looks expensive but the quality is very good, I can't find anything missing or any reason to deduct any stars, and when you consider the countless connectivity/storage and limitless potential, I think the bandwidth is limited to Gen 3 speeds but I might be wrong. The adapters and rack of this and their many other variants that GeeekPi specialise in enable unique applications to achieve whatever the user desires. So I think the price/value is well justified and is going to enable Pi5 users to plan/create a broad range of uses and versatile projects with their Raspberry's. It's a complete and comprehensive kit which you realise after opening the box, besides the 10X 2U 19" version which is similar, larger but equally perfect, I have no experience with any competitor brand/racks to compare to. Nonetheless, I think GeeekPi/S2PI must be somewhat leading the market in their specialist Pi products, so I can't show off any completed projects just yet but as a product this is another easy 5/5 stars for me IMO.

Build quality is fine, pogo pins are a bit of a pain and I never did get the 5v front facing connection to work properly, this was not an issue as I was mainly using POE. However, the main issue is that I bought this and an NVME drive for use with both PI5 and Pi4's based on the product description... there was not mention of the NVME interface not working for anything other than the PI4s. I later confirmed with the seller....

Die 19‑Zoll‑1U‑Rack‑Halterung von GeeekPi passt exakt in meinen Netzwerkschrank und wirkt insgesamt sehr hochwertig. Die Raspberry Pi 5 sitzen perfekt in den vorgesehenen Slots, und durch das modulare Design kann man das Setup problemlos nach oben erweitern, wenn später weitere Pis dazukommen. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass man einen Pi bei Bedarf einfach lösen kann: Schrauben rausdrehen, den Pi vorsichtig nach unten absenken und dann nach vorne herausziehen. Dadurch bleibt alles sauber und servicefreundlich, ohne dass man das ganze Rack zerlegen muss. Für alle, die mehrere Raspberry Pis ordentlich und erweiterbar im Rack unterbringen wollen, ist diese Halterung eine klare Empfehlung.

Antes de nada, comentar que esta opinión se basa en mi experiencia personal con dicho producto y mis necesidades, lo cual no quiere decir que a otras personas les pueda resultar satisfactorio o no. buena calidad, bien pensado y construido para los diferentes acoplamientos, puedes cambiar incluso la pantalla, tomas frontales de hdi, incluso tiene la placa SSD y tornillos necesarios para sus montajes, pantalla OLED, en fin un producto bien pensado y diseñado, completo y con acabados de calidad, muy recomendable
