I only write reviews for products I really like and I don't get paid. VTOMAN have walked a fine line between performance and price and done very well. I bought the 3-piece kit and have been using it for a few weeks. I will explain how it works in real-life. First off - it's heavy. Of course it is. the 2 battery units weigh around 40 kilos, so carrying it 20 metres into the sunshine is non-trivial. The solution is an extension cable. I am using this in an off-grid tiny house. It runs a small stereo, a 12V fridge (for about 4 hours a day), a laptop, a 12V light and charges cordless drill batteries, vape batteries and so on. All this uses around 40% of the main battery daily. The fridge draws 50W and the stereo 25W. So, if the weather is not sunny (I am looking at you, England), I get 4 days of pretty bougie living before I have to go home. If it's sunny, that 40% can be recharged in an afternoon. If both batteries are empty, it takes around 8 hours to recharge from the mains or a day and a half from solar. The solar panel is well thought-out. The cables are attached and stowable and there are kickstand legs that work well. In England in the spring, it only produces 100W, but this is unsurprising. The main battery allows for an additional solar panel to be attached, which is very handy (see pic). Both panels together produce around 140W (in UK spring sunshine). The main unit is sturdy and the screen has useful information like hours left under current usage and how many Watts are being drawn. It can power heavy-drain items like kettles and microwaves and corded power-tools (but check your particular needs). It contains all the safety circuits and recent chipsets and has loads of outputs. The main problem is a rather startling cooling fan. It comes on for a couple of minutes each hour and is really quite noisy, a bit less so than a hairdrier! The solution for me is to build a cabinet outside. The other issue is that the 2 battery units can't be stacked because of the handle design. These are the 2 main problems with this thing and the reason I am saving perhaps £1000 compared to products from the market leaders. I can live with it. I try not to use the slave unit to avoid carrying it around. I think it will be more useful in the winter. It can't be charged without the main battery, but again, this saves money by not duplicating circuitry. It also seems to charge more slowly than the main unit. Overall, it's the immense capacity that is the best feature. Cost savings have been made that are acceptable in my opinion. 5 stars then, but there are some small issues. These keep the price down and are not deal-breakers for me. To make the product perfect, I'd like 1- a quieter fan, 2- the facility to charge the second unit independantly, 3- an output socket on the slave unit so it could be used while the main unit is charging, 4- a big ON/OFF button and 5- a handle that allows the batteries to be stacked. I am sure this product exists and probably costs twice as much as the VTOMAN. Overall, I am very happy with this unit - it has turned camping into rather lush living. They have kept the price down in an intelligent way, I think. # Edit # 9 months in now and this set up continues to impress and just do the things it I need it to do, even when it's cold. I have supplemented it with a small petrol generator which charges 60% in around 3 hours. I would recommend this item as well because it has great instructions for generator noobs like me. Getting this turned out to be a good move because... England and the Sun. The outside storage I made for the units and an extension cable mean that I don't have to lug these heavy objects around any more. The fact that I have shelves in the cabinet means that the lack of stacking ability is moot. The VTOman has turned out to be a reliable and essental piece of kit. One issue I have noticed - when in residence and in use, the unit sometimes just switches off for no apparent reason - I'm not drawing too much current or abusing the thing. It just needs turning on again, so it's not a big deal - it just forces me to get up half-way through a film. Overall, I still give it 5 stars because of the price and enormous capacity. If you can live with the minor issues I have outlined, then get one.

Amazing product. Charges fast, runs my car fridge and charges My 750wh engine quickly when I go mph Tain biking. The solar panels are efficient too, Charing it up from 52% to full in just over 3 hours Ona. Sunny day. Definitely would recommend to any van-lifers as it charges quickly up from van’s lighter socket too

Brilliant bit of kit for off grid weekends away.

Been using this now for a while and can honestly say it's been a game changer, stored a great amount of power and has a great output, able to run things like air fryers with it, charges in a decent amount of time, often charge at work but also have the solar charger, great for when you're out, only thing I would say is I have some issues with the extra battery, seems to have faults, reads empty when it isn't and there is no reset button, needs to be on charge to reset the returning faults, but the main unit is perfect.

Very useful on camping adventures whilst not using the campervan. Has ran my campervan's fridge freezer for 5days as well as other items whilst at a festival and I haven't had to use the solar panel to charge it yet whilst away. Charges quickly although the cooling fans make quite a bit of noise. Plenty of power for most adventure trips 👌

High quality construction. Can charge my EV, stove and kettle. It has the juice. A bit disappointed it did not come with the car "jump cable". Also when using extra battery it has to be turned on again when extra battery is flat, to continue using the main generator. Also gets confused when using solar to charge when the extra battery connected. Maybe a software update would solve these issues?

Effective power supply - kept a refrigerated cool box working for 6 days with solar panel plugged in. Would have lasted 4 without panel.

In my opinion the deal at £980 is Great value for money. Pros:- Price, 3kwh capacity, 2200watt Inverter, 220 watt panel. Cons:- 1/ When extra Battery is depleted and switchs to main power station internal Battery the AC power cuts and needs turning back on to continue. 2/ When running on extra Battery drawing arround 2kw the AC Supply voltage drops from 220V AC to approximately 200V AV due to the small gauge umbilical cable connecting Extra battery to Jump 2200 Main power station. 3/ No Blue Tooth (Not a deal breaker) 4/ Fastest charging via mains measured at arround 350watts. 5/ A little noisy when cooling fan runs In Summary:- Would I have bought know the above cons? The Answer is yes. Well done VTOMan for bringing a good budget power station to Market.

At first I was kind of skeptical abkut this generator because of being an off brand. The design of the generator makes the functionality easy; Everything is in one central location. Depending of your use the battery life can last for a while. My wife and I did a road trip from Michigan to Minnesota and back; the batter barely drained. Then again we used the solar charger a lot. When it was not charging the battery lasted for 12 hours; but all we were doing was charge our phones. Having a computer hooked up; the battery lasted 6 hours; due to more power being drawn. It works when you go camping and the solar panel charges with no issue. I plan to buy more to cycle through as one dies go to the next. The size is as described; the only awkward part is the solar panel. I personally think it is worth the investment; more so if you are trying to travel light but want portable power. This set up is basic but gives room for you to set the rig up in a way to be more convenient.
