We bought this for my grandmother who has had a stroke and several brain bleeds. She has a hard time staying upright without support when sitting up and tends to lean towards her right side, straining her neck and causing her discomfort. Previously, we used pillows to help support her in chairs. The pillows inevitably shift and become less supportive over time. This product has helped increase the amount of time she’s able to sit in chairs (wheelchair and recliner) comfortably. It has allowed her to sit up straighter and hold her head up for longer (her neck is less strained). Overall, it has helped improve her quality of life immensely.

My husband's back recently got injured. The physician suggested us to buy this to provide extra support for dealing with his back discomfort. It turned out to be a good purchase! The product has sturdy yet comfortable design. The cushion is well-padded, offering excellent support. The materials feel durable, and the stitching can really hold up for regular use. It's compact enough to fit in most chairs while providing a substantial amount of support.

Contour well to my body. Not restrictive at all. The material is high quality and breathable. I feel more secure and supported.

Does the job

My son has subluxation in one hip and tends to lean sideways in his wheelchair. The side bolsters are fairly firm, but they're too thin and too short (both height and length) to stop him from leaning sideways. I tried them at armpit level, abdomen level, and hip level and he leans to one side at all three. I'll be returning this.

My uncle has been using a wheel chair (and a commode/shower chair where this product can also be used) for some time now. His wheel chair is old and is a bit too wide for him. He often either tilts dramatically to one side or the other or slides a bit forward or both. His wheelchair did not come with any built in lateral support so we ordered this product. We needed to use some ingenuity to have the velcro pads secure the support properly. However, the product has definitely made a positive impact on his "chairposture" and security. The foam is soft, but not so soft that it lacks support. The cover is zippered and can be easily removed for laundering. Ours has not been a perfect application/installation of the product, but again we have been able to make it work effectively.

It just isn't what I thought it should be. Doesn't work at all. The velcro doesn't hold at all!!
