I wanted and needed a new knife set, mine so so old and hard to sharpen anymore. The knives are unevenly sharpened, makes cutting things difficult. So I had my husband sharpen them for me. I love the scissors included, that's very sharp

Good knives are like good Texas Bar-B-Que. There comes a point where you can't tell the difference between them no matter what the people who think they fart roses say so. Maintain these knives well (don't use a dish washer) and ither use a top quality sharpener or have a professional do it and they will give a lifetime of great use. So why pay more for those hoity-toity Japanese and German knives when Chicago Cluttery is just as good?
