Truely ODORLESS !
I've been painting for 5 years now and have tried several types of mineral spirits and paint thinners. For those that don't know, a mineral spirit is paint thinner but just more processed to remove the impurities that cause the strong odor. Problem is not all brands are as thorough at removing the stench. Gamblin brand is odorless in the strictest sense of the word. It basically smells like water. It works just as well as the other ones I've tried. Yes it is more expensive but worth the price. You won't have people making comments about your place smelling of fumes. A bottle lasts a really long time if you are mainly using it to clean brushes. Let the dissolved paint settle to the bottom of your jar (a couple days) and simply pour off the "clear and clean" mineral spirits and you have basically recycled it allowing you to use it again. I will never buy another brand. If you haven't tried it yet buy a small bottle and test it out.

Best thinner/cleaner/medium on the market
Gamsol is an amazing product. I wouldn't paint without it. It is wonderfully effective as a medium to mix with your paints to create thin washes which dry quickly. As a paint cleaner, it can't be beaten. Much better than cleaning oils. It only takes a small amount to clean any remaining paint off your palette after scrapping. It thoroughly cleans my expensive oil paint brushes without damaging the tuffs, so it adds considerably to the life span of my brushes. I employ a 4-stage cleaning system with Gamsol in each cleaning jar, and only have to change out qthe Gamsol once a year.. And it is nearly oderless. So many of the hydro flourocarbons have been removed that it has a flashpoint of 144 degrees (as opposed to 100 degrees for cheaper brands). I wouldn't paint without it.

Great for colored pencil
I am an artist that works in colored pencil. I use gamsol to dissolve the binder in the pencils and I can move the pigment around like paint. This is a great product and works well.

My paint thinner of choice
I don’t always use turps or Gamsol, but when I do, I really do prefer this brand of odorless mineral spirits. Glad to be able to still purchase it in gallons sized jugs because I teach and this is the only thinner product I allow in my teaching studio.

No smell turpentine
This is my favorite oil thinner for oil painting! It is always consistently pleasing to work with, because it is not too harsh on the brushes, and it has no smell.

It does not smell
I hate the odor of so-called "orderless paint thinner" that you buy in hardware or paint stores, because it's fumes are noxious. But Gamsol really has reduced the VOC down to where I don't even notice any odor. That's important to an artist who works with oil paint, or just to use for general cleanup. My studio is small, so I do what I can to keep odors down. When I'm printing , I always use oil-based ink, and Gamsol makes cleanup easy and doesn't stink up the place. This stuff works. Of course it costs a little more - it's a better product, which has gone the extra mile to reduce the VOC level. It's well-worth the price.
