Brilliant stand
Having just spend £300 on a new classical guitar I needed a good stand, but remaining budget was low. Many reviews for this one seemed to suggest instability due to the low rear leg but the price and looks were both agreeable and I took the plunge.I have to say I'm delighted. The stability is a non-issue. As many have observed, one normally parks a guitar in the corner or against a wall and even if this stand is left out in the middle of, say, a music room, it's pretty resistant to tipping. I did a few admittedly unscientific tests and it seems to me you'd have to knock your guitar pretty hard at a diagonal to cause a problem. It simply isn't going to tip over with an accidental knock. The build quality and looks are great and the neoprene-type tubular padding is on both the neck and body supports. No metal ever touches the guitar. A nice touch is that the pronged body support pivots to accommodate odd-shaped (or electric) guitar bodies. I appreciate this even though it's not an issue for me.There doesn't seem to be a retaining strap for the neck, as shown in the picture, but really - a rubber band would probably suffice for the paranoid. I am happier being able to just lift the instrument straight out. The neck cup is very deep anyhow, and I can't see how a guitar might fall out.

Fantastic
For the price, this is faultless. Simply open the box, attach the three parts together (a 2 minute job at most) and pull the legs as far apart as they'll go - job done.I have a Yamaha ERG121C guitar (Yamaha Strat copy) and it fits like a glove, and looks great in black too. This would fit any guitar shape though, from Les Pauls to Explorers to Jazzmasters. The rubber pads prevent scratches to the neck and body when placing and removing your guitar. The only thing I would say is that, as the rear leg is shorter than the other two, a knock from say a vacuum cleaner could topple the stand over. Put it near a wall though (and who has these things in the middle of a room anyway?!) and you'll be fine.In short, great looks, great price - just plain great!

Does the job but does have a major fault.
The problem with this stand is the bottom base. It's loose, therefore you have to adjust it everytime you want to put your guitar on it. The bottom base comes off way too easily too and moves when you take the guitar off. I've had my guitar fall off a few times as the base wasn't adjusted properly when I put the guitar back on after use. If I knew about this problem then I would have not bought it, I would of spent a little more on something with a better design.

Good value
This guitar stand is easy to assemble and does the job of holding my 12-stringed guitar with ease. Although it is quite steady, I would be more comfortable if the stand had a longer rear leg - as a good bump would tip the stand and guitar over backwards.Overall, the stand is good value for its price.

Good Product
Good product, does the job. These 3 bits of metal in bags that you have to fit together, these no instructions but it's obvious how to assemble. Just make sure all the arms are secured in place and it's up and running. These foam around the contact points too, to protect your guitar.

JHS GS200 Black Guitar Stand
I bought this for my husband who has just recently started playing the guitar again after several years. He wanted something that he could just place his guitar in while he had a temporary break e.g. answering the phone, going to the loo. This does the job very well.

You can stand this
I bought this for my electric guitar. It's a tripod base with the back leg very short and the two outer, longer legs providing balance for the stand. It's all black metal, very sturdy, with plastic ends to provide friction, and the arms that hold the guitar are padded. I've got it set up next to a bookcase and looks very smart, and holds the guitar perfectly without wobbling or looking frail. For under a tenner, it's a very fair price for a good looking and sturdy product, and I've no complaints. Recommended.

Smells a bit weird.
The product smells of rubber. The quality is cheap. And it is not as sturdy as I expected, I was a bit afraid to trust my guitar to such an unstable unit. However, I used it for 3 months and no problems occurred whatsoever, so it's quite good.
