This was a super fun project to do with my 8 yr old grandchild. She loved painting the planets and was able to assemble it all with minimal assistance

Fun model but a bit small
I purchased this kit as a supplement to our summer vacation study about space. My daughter loves learning about the planets, and she loves art and crafts. We worked on this together one afternoon. We chose to use some acrylic paint pens I'd purchased for another project instead of the provided paint. The pens made it very easy to create the details on the planets. The model was a bit smaller than I anticipated, so it was a little difficult to paint. But we enjoyed working on it together, and we were able to spend some time talking about arranging the planets.
