Predator Blowguns - 36in. .40 Caliber Blowgun

I had recently spent a weekend at a cottage with some friends and one of my friends brought a blowgun. We had a lot of fun with some shooting competitions with it and I wanted one for myself. I found this to be a good product, based on the description to be a medium size blowgun that will give good accuracy without being so long that it's taller than I am. I ordered it and received it on the first day of the delivery window. I have shot it around the house at a few targets and varying distances. If you can perfect your blowing technique & the aiming technique this blowgun is about as accurate as it gets! I was very impressed with how tight I can get the grouping of darts. I find this to be a great blowgun and it also has 2 different type of dart holders on the blowgun itself so you can hold a lot more darts than you need to hold. Perfect item for fun, shooting competitions and this weekend I will be possibly hunting with it so we will see if it's also well suited for that but the main purpose I got it for was just to shoot around & have some fun.

This Predator 36" blowgun is very good quality and surprisingly fun to use. This is our 2nd blowgun that we bought this after seeing one used on a TV show call "Top Shots" and it looked like it would be fun for my teen son and I, as we are very competitive (in a good way). Here are my observations: Pros - + Well Made; one piece metal tube, foam handle, and built in dart quiver all feel like they will hold up over time + Accurate; once you get the hang of it, this is surprisingly accurate + Fun; this really is a lot of fun to use Cons - - Only comes with twelve darts, which really isn't enough, so we bough several packs of 50 .40c Spear Darts This really isn't a toy and it could be very effective for varmint control, so it should be used with adult supervision. This product surprised me, I thought that it was going to be a low end blowgun with low power. I got the gun and it was amazing; accuracy, power, it had everything. I would highly suggest it to people, unless your looking for a real weapon. This is a good product, don't get me wrong, I loved it. It could be used to hunt small game such as squirrels or small birds but its likely you would miss. Over all its a great blowgun. Its not a hunting weapon or anything, but its not a collectors item either. The only flaw I found in this was that the darts were different sizes and that led to a difference in the range going from anywhere between 50' to 70'. I was, however, able to get over this.

Great product, I love it. I bought it for about 14$ and it's been one of the best 14$ i've ever spent. It's eerily accurate and with enough lung power it can LAUNCH darts. I've shot this baby in my backyard, from my roof, out of trees, it's perfect! Why I gave it 4/5 stars. In the picture, at the end of the blowgun, there is a nozzle with a peep sight. That is not included in the product. You get a normal nozzle end, without a peep sight. But honestly, you dont even need it. I'm just a stickler with what I see in the listing, and what I receive.

I have owned this for a few months now. It works well and easy to get the hang of. I would recommend this to other people because of the low price ($11) and I have not had any problems with it. Two slight inconveniences are that the sight doesn't actually line up to what you are aiming at and the quiver easily slides around the barrel. The sight shows where the blowgun is pointing, but the angle from your eye to the sight when the blowgun is held up to your mouth does not show where the dart will actually go, but that is true of any blowgun and once you get the hang of it you won't need a sight. The quiver moving is slightly annoying but for $11 you will get a whole lot of fun. I would recommend buying a pack of darts because you may lose some or may not want to collect them from the target too often.

I love this blowgun. For what it is, it's capable of surprising accuracy. My only complaint is that it was unnecessarily hard to assemble the darts. The trick is as follows: 1) Grasp the shaft of a dart about an inch from the sharp end with a pair of pliers. 2) Allow the cup to sit upright on a piece of scrap wood, and slowly press the sharp end of the dart all the way through the cup to the other side. Try to go in as straight as you can. 3) Pull the cup free, reverse the shaft so your pliers are now an inch or so from the dull end, and force the dull end into the hole you just made until you are just short of coming through the other side. It won't come apart now under normal use, don't be too worried if it's not perfectly straight, it matters less than you probably think. My current shooting technique is to hold the mid shaft of the blowgun with my right hand, and the mouthpiece with my left. When I stand square to the target and focus on it, I see two images of the front sight. The dart will strike exactly in the middle of those two images. (I've noticed that if I reverse my hand positions, the dart will not longer strike in the middle - I suspect it has to do with eye dominance but I really have no idea). The first trick is to not move the shaft after blowing the air in. The second trick is to continue to provide breath until the dart exits the muzzle. The third trick is to deliver the same amount of air for each shot. It's fun, but it's not easy. It feels kind of like archery. A cardboard box is all the target you need. My best five-shot group so far was about the size of a fifty cent piece, from 20 feet away. I think it's capable of even more than that.

Super leggera ma anche robusta e assolutamente precisa. Ho provato a tirare su un bersaglio di 1cm da 10 metri di distanza e l'ho centrato in pieno facendo poi anche fatica a staccare la freccetta dal legno. Segno di assoluta precisione e potenza. Da maneggiare con cura per gli adulti e da non dare mai in mano ad un bambino! Anche solo le freccette sono molto pericolose per quanto sono affilate in punta.

von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Das Blasrohr macht richtig Laune, und ich konnte nach kurzer Übungszeit Ziele in A4 Größe auf 10 m Entfernung locker treffen. Für mein Kind habe ich direkt noch die 18“ Variante bestellt. Die ist vom Gewicht wahrscheinlich besser. Das einzige was ich albern finde, ist das Zielkreuz a an der Mündung vom Blasrohr. Dies habe ich mit einer Küchenschere abgeschnitten. Sieht besser aus. Den Aufkleber am Mundstück bekommt man am besten ab, wenn man ihn mit einem Haar föhnen, etwas warm macht. mich persönlich stören Aufkleber oft. Ist aber so eine persönliche Marke. Deswegen keinen Abzug in der Bewertung.
