Works Amazingly Well! 🔥
This grill cleaning stone is fantastic! It removes grease, burnt residue, and buildup effortlessly without scratching the surface. Perfect for grills, griddles, and flat tops. It’s durable, easy to hold, and makes cleaning so much faster than using a brush. A must-have tool for anyone who loves grilling!

Works best for me.
While I'm convinced that there is no product on the market that will perfectly clean a grill--whether it be a grill brush, cleaning fluid, or whatever--I can honestly say that the Magic Stone is the best one I've come across. It effectively scrapes off crud and allows the silver finish of stainless steel to show through again, even on the edge portions of the grate that hang over the crossbar, which is the most difficult part to clean (without entirely removing the grates from the grill). I'm very happy with this product. The Magic Stone can be used on either a hot or cold grill. Hot works better, of course, but that has some drawbacks. If you wear a BBQ mitt/glove to protect your hand from the heat, the Magic Stone is much harder to use. If you use your bare hand, well, don't complain when the inevitable happens. I've fallen victim to burns on more than one occasion. The product description says you have to be careful when using the stone on stainless steel, because it can scratch. My grill has stainless steel grates, and I haven't had any problem with scratching. Perhaps they're talking about the Kitchen Stone instead of the Grill Stone? Anyway, buyer beware, but it works okay for me. If you read through the reviews, there are a number of negative points mentioned. Let me address a few of them. "The stone doesn't last long." In general, this is true. As you scrub, you wear down the stone. The product photo shows grooves in the stone. Those grooves aren't present on a brand new stone; it's a solid rectangular block. The grooves are formed as you scrub, wearing away as the stone passes over the grate. The grooves are actually a good thing (to a certain point), as they allow the sides of the grate bars to be cleaned along with the top. When the grooves get "too" deep, I rotate the stone 90 degrees. This makes it last a bit longer and keep cleaning effectively. Now, some reviewers claimed they couldn't get even one complete cleaning out of a stone, and frankly that is just not true. I BBQ a lot, even in winter, and I've been using the same stone for three months. Granted, the stone is on its last legs, and I don't use it _every_ time I BBQ (let's say 85-90% of the time), but it certainly lasts for more than one cleaning. I guess it also depends on how you define "cleaning"; in the above context I'm talking about a regular cleaning after using the BBQ. If you're talking about a full cleaning where you remove the grates from the grill and clean the undersides as well, then of course it's not going to last as long, but it'll still last longer than one cleaning. I suppose I should also mention that I clean with a grill brush first, then follow up with the Magic Stone. "The stone is brittle and falls apart." Again, this is true... but not until you've used it awhile and it starts getting thinner (or you drop it on concrete). So once it cracks in two you start using the individual pieces and take longer strokes. What's the big deal? "The stone leaves dust on the grates after cleaning." That's false... but with a caveat. The instructions say to wipe the grill down with a damp cloth after use. Yes there's dust remaining after using the stone; but if you don't wipe the grill down afterward, then don't blame the stone. Blame the person who refuses to follow the directions! Like I said, there isn't any perfect grill cleaning product (IMO), but the Magic Stone is the product that works best for me. I'll continue to buy and use them, and I believe you'll like them too.

Works OK but very messy, poor packaging, pumice grit all over other items in shipping box
This worked OK for cleaning my stove grates, but it's a little too big for that. As others have said, it doesn't last long, because it disintegrates as you use it. It's just a big pumice stone, but one that's rather "loose" and falls apart easily. Sort of like a heavier grit Magic Eraser (and similar principal--you're sanding away stuff), and like a Magic Eraser, it falls apart quickly. But, it does what it's supposed to. The biggest problem was the packaging. It's just wrapped in a loose, fragile plastic film that is not sealed. So, gritty pumice pieces come out of the packaging--this would be a messy problem even if you bought it in person at a store. But shipping from Amazon, the gritty pieces got all over absolutely everything else in the Amazon shipment, including electronics!! So much came out of the block's packaging that it was even all over the outside of the Amazon shipping box! Huge mess. So, if you order this for shipping, don't order anything else until Amazon has already shipped just this item all by itself.

Good scrubber for deep cleaning your grill grates
This scrub stone is perfect for the deep cleaning of your grill grates, when you are trying to get the layers of burned on residue off with soap and water. This is not a replacement for a grill scrubber that might be used to clean grates just prior to adding food. This scrubber sheds lots of material as you scrub with it and the grates should be rinsed and washed well after using before exposing to food items. This scrubber will power through the most stuck on grime and char much better than a steel wool pad. I tried a steel wool pad first and it shredded within a minute on my dirty grates. I still had to use a lot of scrubbing power with this block, but not nearly as much as without. The block quickly conformed into the shape of my grate grooves. Probably around 1/4 of the block was gone and sitting in a pile in my sink by the time I cleaned my two iron grates. I will probably get about 2 more uses out of this block before it will be too small to be practical based on this experience.

Wow. Where have you been my whole life!?!?
Works great. I use it on my stainless steel grill grates and front lip. For many years the front lip was always dirty. I tried and tried to get it clean but the grease would not come off. The I bought the scrub in stone to use on the grates as I’ve had too many times where I’ve seen the wire bristles from the wire brush fall off onto the grill grate waiting to be picked up by some unsuspecting chicken or burgers or even worse steak. With the scrub in stone I don’t have to worry about wire brushes getting into the food ever again. The I tried it on my front grill lip. I couldn’t believe how easy it was, and how much dirt and grime it took off. It was so easy, amazing, fast, and fun I just couldn’t stop. I had to clean the whole thing. Just wish I had taken a before photo. Cleaning the stone is easy too. When it gets full of dirt and grime just rinse in the water and it’s ready for more abuse.

Worked well on my very disgusting grill. I will soon be purchasing more of these!!
These do a Great job at cleaning the hard to clean gunk that builds up on the grill. They don't last very long, but that might be because my grills were gross. However, I would buy these again. Make sure you flip it over (top to bottom, not end to end) to make it last longer.

After reading the instructions I was uncertain whether or not it would be suitable for ceramic coated grill plates I emailed Compac Industries for clarification but to date they haven’t bothered to reply therefore I am unable to comment on its use.

I wasnt sure if this product would help me clean off my neglected BBQ grill grates. I had tried multiple other ideas of putting the grates in garbage bags with chemicals to remove the carbon and burnt in grim. When these options didnt work, I tried this pumace stone on Stainless steel grates. It did take off a lot more grim and grease with a lot of work, but I think I scraped the Stainless steel grates a fair bit. I wouldnt recommend for use on ceramic coated anything. After cleaning my super dirty grates, this stone is ready for the garbage...but it did work. If i cant find an easier solution, I would buy this again.

It leaves residue and is wearing out very quickly. Over priced for the size and how often you will have to replace it. Not to mention after scraping grill you still have to brush off the stone dust/residue. Cleaning twice is not worth the cost.

Works as advertised... worth the money !!
