It’s really purple. I wiped the shampoo off with a hand towel because it was getting into my eyes and it turned my towel purple. It was easy to rinse the purple from my towel, though. I left it on for half a song so it was about 1-1/2 to 2 minutes. It stained the tips of my fingers purple, but the purple color rinsed off when I rinsed out my conditioner. The white spot in my hair is actually clear, but after using this shampoo, it looks paper white instead of clear and my hair looks fuller. I don’t know why but it looks like my hair is less white, too. I know the white spot didn’t go dark, I mean I’ve had it since high school, but it looks smaller than it is for some reason after I washed my hair with this shampoo. I like it :) Oh, and my hair feels doesn’t feel dry or brittle after using it :) I didn’t notice a scent to it.Much like! I think I’ll use it once a month or something :)P.S. The foil safety seal on it is really hard to remove with wet hands. I think you should take it off before your hands get wet.

This Nuva Botanicals Purple Shampoo is a great choice for purple shampoo. It's sulfate free - meaning I can use it without worry, as I have chemically treated hair. It also includes Vitamin B5 which moisturizes and softens hair; this is important to me, as some purple shampoos don't include it and my hair becomes extremely dry after just a few uses. Thankfully, after 5 uses I haven't had any drying at all - and my platinum blonde color is more vibrant and hasn't developed any brassiness; this shampoo keeps the brass away. I make sure to always follow it up with a light purple conditioner too.Overall, this is a GREAT option for purple shampoo and my new go-to brand! For under $10, it's actually a steal. If you're on the fence, just give it a try - you won't regret it.🙂

I bleached my hair many moons ago and am still dealing with a bit of growing out. I figured I'd try something like this and see if it helps with the orange ends. I've only used it a few times and no change yet. However, the shampoo lathers beautifully and cleans well! This sounds silly, but it is so pretty! I want to take a picture and have my car painted this color lol! whether it will help with brassiness long term, I don't know - but as a shampoo, it cleans my hair wonderfully!

This is a purple shampoo designed to reduce brassiness and red tones in blonde hair. I got it for my wife to try as she dyes her hair blonde and complains about brassy tones. As expected the shampoo is a deep purple color. Some other purple shampoos she has tried have a bit of a gritty consistency. Happily we found this one to be smooth and creamy. It came out of the tube thick and worked up a good lather. She left it on for the recommended 2 minutes before rinsing. Interestingly, there was no noticeable fragrance. Even after 1 use we both noticed a slight reduction in the brassy tones. The product recommends using 2 - 3 times per week for maximum effect, so I would expect slow improvement as she continues to use it.

First of all be prepared to have purple staining with this shampoo. Staining of your fingers, walls of your shower, towel! These all have washed off with work, just frustrating work. The results are not as favorable as expected. Also, be prepared to use a conditioner after washing with this shampoo. I don't typically use conditioner each time I shampoo, but with this product, I will need to.

I'm glad I did. I do like this shampoo quite a bit.It has a nice texture and leathers up pretty well. I felt like it cleaned my hair nicelyThe trick with getting this purple shampoo, or any purple shampoo, to work well is to let it sit on your hair a bit before rinsing it out.I let this sit for it at least 4 or 5 minutes. I normally try to lather it into my hair, then wash other parts of my body while it sits. Then I bend over in the shower and use the handheld faucet to rinse it out of my hair without it running all over my body.Definitely takes out a bit of brassiness. I only use it sparingly because you don't want it to turn your hair to purpley.

I’ve been adding highlights to my hair most of my adult life and have spent a lot of money on purple shampoos. This set comes with three bottles which is great since it works very well. It keeps newly platinum colored hair from turning orange or developing any brassy undertones. Using this also calms down freshly highlighted hair by softening any yellow or golden color your highlights might be taking on. This is a good purple shampoo, it not only worked on my color but it also returned moisture and shine back to my hair. Taking your hair to very blonde levels can be quite damaging and cause it to be dry and brittle. This is why the shampoo I use directly after is so important. This one’s quality is excellent and it’s just what I needed for my platinum highlights.

From the first application on my hair, this was great shampoo. Left my hair bright, smooth, well-conditioned. My hair is going gray - looks like highlights on my dark brown hair but It's all natural. It looked mousey but the purple shampoo makes it brighter and leaves my hair in great condition. Lathers nicely.
