Great Headset with Drawbacks
Review from a professional VR dev with loads of different headsets. The Quest 3S is a great budget headset that can play games on par with the Quest 3 and most other current gen (late 2024) headsets. It provides similar color passthrough and is a solid platform with access to both the native Quest store for standalone play (no external PC required after setup) and (through the Meta Link app) SteamVR when linked to an appropriate computer. The build quality is fairly good, although the included head strap is likely worth an upgrade for most active apps and the glasses adjustment should be changed with care to avoid damaging the mechanism. Overall this is a great headset, but when compared to the Quest 3, the lenses in the 3S both limit the field of view and the in-focus viewing angles. This introduces some fiddliness in getting a perfect fit to see content as clearly as possible - these issues are much less pronounced in the Quest 3. If you've never used a Quest 3 then the difference isn't critical, but it is noticeable to those of us who use both frequently. The headset might not last more than a year or two for a number of reasons. Firstly, VR tech changes rapidly and has generally had large steps in quality and convenience every few years both in hardware and software. The headset might not be able to keep up with new technical requirements for fresh updates and apps after a few years. Meta has already stopped allowing app updates for Gen 1 Quests. Secondly, these devices are extremely sensitive to strong light sources such as the sun. When the lenses get direct rays from the sun into them they are likely to take some damage. Of the seven or so Quests I have had for work, which see an occasional trip to the car (once a month or so), all but the newest one have had at least one dead pixel (attributed to sun focusing through the lenses, but could be from something else). If you spend the money on a headset like this, it is likely worth getting a carrying case and not leaving it by windows. All-in-all this is a good headset on a solid platform. It is probably not a super long-term headset and could benefit from accessories such as a rigid head strap and protective storage case to get the most out of it. If you are new to VR or want something easy to use without breaking the bank, this is a relatively recommendable option. If you want the most out of a standalone headset, maybe look at the Quest 3 (or whatever the flagship is at the time).

Great quality and cheaper than stores
Wanted my son to have this for Xmas, and didn't want to deal with going to the store. Not only did we save money, but its been a year and he LOVES the thing. No complaints...aside from complaining about Meta...but that's not this device's fault.

Yesss! A must buy for the entire family!
I recently purchased the Meta Quest 3S glasses in the Batman package, opting for the 128GB version, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! The design is not only sleek but also incredibly fun, especially for any Batman fan. However, I did find that I needed to buy a different headset to accommodate my little ones, as they have smaller heads and I wanted them to enjoy the experience too. What really stands out about the Meta Quest 3S is the vast library of apps available. There's something for everyone in the family, from immersive games to educational experiences. It's been a fantastic way to engage with my kids, and I love how we can all share the excitement of virtual reality together. The setup was straightforward, and the graphics are impressive, providing a truly enjoyable experience. The comfort of wearing the glasses for extended periods is also noteworthy—I've spent hours exploring different apps without any discomfort. Overall, the Meta Quest 3S is a fantastic addition to our family entertainment. It's versatile, fun, and has brought us closer together through shared virtual adventures. I highly recommend it to any family looking for a way to enjoy technology together!

Immersive VR Experience with Amazing Bonus Content
The Meta Quest 3S is a game-changer for VR enthusiasts! The setup is straightforward, and the wireless all-in-one design eliminates the hassle of cables, making gameplay smooth and unrestricted. The 128GB storage provides plenty of space for games and apps, so I don’t have to worry about running out of room anytime soon. What sets this bundle apart is the inclusion of Batman: Arkham Shadow. The game is incredibly immersive and truly showcases the potential of VR, with stunning graphics and engaging gameplay. The added 3-month trial of Meta Quest+ is a fantastic bonus, giving access to a wide variety of premium content to explore right away. The visuals are crisp, and the improved resolution makes a noticeable difference in overall clarity. The controllers are responsive and ergonomic, making long gaming sessions comfortable. The only downside is the battery life, which could be longer, but it’s manageable with breaks. Overall, this is an excellent investment for anyone looking to dive into VR or upgrade their current headset. The bonus content makes it an even better deal!

Best Entry to VR
This VR Headset is my first Entry to VR. For the price I paid I got on sale for $269 on April 16th 2025. After testing it I will say it's a great VR Headset. I have it hooked up to my computer using a link cable, so it gets the best latency in gaming. I have tried the wireless option and it's not bad but a couple of hiccups of course depending on your internet speed. Having no headphone jack on the Quest 3s kind of sucks compared to the 3 but you can buy a USB dongle with a headphone jack to it. I know wireless is becoming more of a popular option, but I still prefer wired earbuds then wireless. Also, the head strap on the Quest 3s isn't the worse but it isn't comfortable if you are going to play for more than 2 hours. I would recommend buying the "KIWI design K4 Head Strap". The price may be a bit steep, but it will be comfortable in the end if you want to play long hours in VR. Battery life on the Quest 3s is only about 3.5 hours deepening on what game/activity you are doing, but since I mentioned the link cable make sure you get one that supports charging so you can continue to play for long hours if you do so I recommend the "Syntech Link Cable with Charging 16FT". Overall, I am very happy with my purchase on the Meta Quest 3s and if you are an entry level VR User or new to VR this is a great start in VR especially for the price.

Actually suprised by how fun it is!
Super fun to use, very comfortable, only problem I have with the quest 3s is that vision is a bit blurry when not in certain positions. Besides that for its price, its a good buy. Takes a bit to adjust to potentially causing occasional motion sickness. Once you get used to it you never really get motion sickness again unless something is SUPER motion sickness inducing. Would definitely buy if you want to dip your toes into vr.

I've noticed some little bugs here and there
This headset works well, I've been playing it a lot everyone enjoys it! But the face part is a bit textured and does get uncomfortable after awhile and I have noticed the headset bug out a few times. I did just get this thing barely a week ago btw so that's something that you might wanna know. The controllers feel good the headset is pretty comfortable for the most part, it does work and it is fun I personally do feel like it was worth the money and I do not regret this purchase so far. Oh but I would recommend getting a battery extender if you plan on playing for a good chunk of time the headset does lasts about 1 and 30 mins to 2 hours oh and get rechargeable batteries for the controllers too so you don't have to buy batteries every week yep I think that's about it! I personally also I DO NOT recommend letting your kids play unattended I've played a fair amount of games this isn't my first headset and I've seen and heard a lot please watch your kids don't get this thing for a 15yr or below without parental supervision I've literally seen 5 year olds on this all alone not cool guys. Watch your kids properly and keep em safe I personally would only get this for 16+ even that I feel is pushing it there are a lot of creeps. I hope this review helps :D
