Does not taste good.
This boiled rice does not taste good at all. This is not Kerala rice. When you wash this rice, all the reddish color comes off, and the washed rice would still be very cloudy. I washed the rice 4-5 hoping it would get clear. Eventually it got reasonably clear - but never totally clear. But the rice becomes somewhat pinkish white after washing. The red color goes away completely. I don’t understand this parboiled rice. Anyway better stick to proper whole grain red rice instead of this strange boiled rice. I tried making idly with it - still not good.
