Amazing plasma cutter. Cuts through 1/2 in plate steel like a knife through butter. Cuts 3/4 plate steel easily but you have to slow down the drag back speed. Build quality looks great, nice compact design to allow you to take it anywhere and enough power for the cutting that I do. Also comes with a cover when not in use. Nice cutter for the price.

This plasma cutter works GREAT! It's lightweight and portable. Cuts 1/4" steel like butter. (55amp and 50PSI). I haven't cut any thicker steel yet. And for those whining about the air connection, all you need is a 1/4" barbed hose adapter to attach the hose to a QD air fitting. It was $5 at home depot. Couple that with a female QD fitting and you're done. The hose was a little tight sliding on the barbed fitting so I warmed the hose end in a pot of boiling water and it slipped right on. This works like a short whip hose so your QD fitting is not hanging on the regulator/ dryer which is attached to the machine by a light duty bracket.

Only reason for giving four stars is because my first one arrived with a bad ground, and couldn’t sustain an arc. Returned it, and still awaiting my refund. Second Quam is that the second unit I ordered is a completely different unit. The outer case is a completely different shape and design. So I am suspecting that the original order was not the right machine in the first place. But for the function of the machine, it works absolutely flawlessly. Have not tried it on 110 yet, but I would suspect as usual it would be fairly limited. Tried it on 220 off of an inverter generator and cut through half-inch steel like butter. Set up was very easy, and straightforward. However, I will say that the Bluetooth functionality is absolutely worthless. You’re standing right at the machine, turning it on anyways, having to dig through your phone to get into the settings just is an unnecessary step and it’s only purpose is to report the metrics back to Arccaptain.

What product. It arrived on time. Size is perfect. Great product. It was easy to install. Great on the price. I would recommend it to anyone because it last a long time

This little plasma cutter packs a great punch! It cuts through 3/4" metal with easy and of course smaller stuff too. Very impressed with the quality of the unit for the money.

I rarely review products that I purchase on Amazon as I never seem to have the time to do so. I’d been looking for a moderately priced plasma cutter but didn’t really see what I was looking for. I had previously owned a plasma cutter, but it and my entire home and shop was destroyed in the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, CA. After looking at the numerous positive reviews for this Arc Captain plasma cutter, I was curious to learn more! I have purchased other items from Arc Captain and had been pleased with those purchases. I watched a ton of YouTube videos and I liked what I saw. Three year warranty, great customer service. I bought the plasma cutter and it was delivered very promptly to my home. Packaging was excellent and the unit appeared to be pristine with no obvious dents or dings. After unboxing I went to hook up my air compressor line. How was I supposed to hook up this supplied 1/4” red tube to my existing quick connector line? I tried removing the barb fitting from the unit but it wouldn’t come out. So I found an awkward but yet effective way to make a solid air connection. I only had 120 volt power available so I used that to attempt to cut a piece of 1/8” steel. It wouldn’t cut it! I tried all sort of variations with air psi and amperage’s settings, tried it on rusty steel, brand new steel ground lightly to ensure I had a good grounding point. Nothing worked. Yes I read the operator’s manual several times to no avail. Over a course of several weeks I sent 6 emails to customer support. They were very polite and seemed very caring but all they offered me was to try solutions that didn’t work or I had already tried. Finally they suggested that my torch could be defective and that they would send me a replacement. I realized that my 30 day window for a return to Amazon was closing in on me. What if I waited to receive a new torch and that wasn’t the solution? I returned the unit to Amazon and got a refund. I found a more powerful unit for less money named Silatu. This worked perfectly out of the box. Guess what, there were air adjustment controls on the front panel as well as a quick connect on the back panel that hooked up instantly to my compressor air line. Buyer beware!

Just want to say I was pleasantly surprised when I fired this little guy up, it cuts great 1/2 inch cuts like it's 1/4 definitely beats torch work only thing that sucked is the air hook up, they should have just used a regular air fitting not the barbed one tried to remove barb but was afraid I was gonna snap the regulator so I just Put a short piece of hose on and put a male end on it so I could hook to my airline like every normal tool does. Other downfall is it says wait till fan shuts off to start cutting and for an impatient guy like myself 4 minutes seems like forever to continue working but I'll get over it, it cuts super nice!!!

Works great, been running it on a 20a circuit to cut some 1/8" steel. I'd remove half a star if I could for the stupid air fitting on the back - fortunately, you can swap it for a standard 1/4" air chuck nipple. Just be careful, it's in there pretty solid. I used a 20v impact drill with deep socket to get it off.

Great cutter more than I expected when purchased.

This thing is amazing I thought for the price I wouldn’t get a great plasma cutter.. So I watch probably 25 you tube videos of people doing the reviews on it and I couldn’t wait to get it.. when I got it I used it just like the reviews cutting all different sizes.. you won’t be disappointed… very happy and highly recommended it… I keep finding more things to cut out and more projects…

Excellent product for the price. Will save lots of money on cutting disks with this unit.
