Straight out of the box I was impressed with the quality feel of the camera, I already have a dash cam but wanted the additional rear view recorded. The box and packaging in general is excellent, all parts were bagged etc.The power and rear camera slots on the main camera are on the top so the wires can become almost invisible, the buttons on the camera require a firm push because they are new, all camera functions worked except the rear camera! When its plugged in you can see the area where the picture for the rear will be displayed, but in my case no picture.The instruction booklet is basic but enough, and if you follow their instructions you won’t have a problem. I thought I knew better….all USB power connectors are the same… I have loads of them…I will use the one already fitted to the car from the old camera…..WRONG. No matter what I tried I couldn’t get the rear camera to work, I contacted the seller who promptly gave me some potential fixes but they didn’t work. I emailed the seller who again responded quickly and agreed to send a replacement rear camera. The seller did everything possible to help.While waiting for the replacement camera I continued to play with the setup to try and fix it, I noticed the new power lead in the box and decided to try it….couldn’t do any harm….won’t make any difference….what the heck try it!As soon as I powered it up with the correct power lead the rear camera sprang into life, and has continued to work as advertised ever since. My advice….follow the instructions to the letter!The main camera gives a good wide-angle view of the front view from the car, the rear camera is a lower resolution but still gives a good wide-angle view at the rear. The little tool and cable clips make it easy to hide the wires as much as possible behind the door seals and the trim. The rear camera cable length is good I had a good couple of meters spare to hide so it should easily fit an estate. There is a red wire that can be connected to the reversing light power side to activate the camera when you reverse, I didn’t bother as my car has a reversing camera.Both camera’s power up when you turn the ignition on and automatically turn off when the ignition is turned off, you can alter the length of time. You can also activate the shock sensors and motion detectors if you want. So far, the 16GB memory card has been adequate, if you use the G-sensor and motion detector it will probably fill up as any captured video is locked and can’t be over written so you will need to empty the memory card regularly. Ordinary video footage will overwrite with looping.I am very pleased with the camera, I can just see it below my mirror, the wires are well hidden and the rear camera is small enough to be no problem. It plays a jingle when you power up and shut down so you know it is working, so long as you don’t knock the camera you don’t have to do anything after you fit it, until you have an unfortunate accident which is when it pays for itself, the video quality is perfect for the job.On the memory card both cameras record a video starting at the same time, stored in 2 different folders one A the other B. It’s possible to play back the forward and rear views together on a PC you just use 2 different video programs if you start them at the same time you can actually see vehicles approach and pass you, I love it. At the moment I am using the camera everyday I have set the video to loop and the memory stick is coping no problem.Just as important as the quality of the product is the after service, the seller was extremely helpful, over the time it took for me to figure things out they responded quickly and did their very best to help me. The media could not be loaded. I installed this camera to my car fuse box using the SHISHUO Dash Cam Hardwire Kit (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07F71RBR8?ref_=pe_1365641_54848841) and connected it to the cigarette lighter fuse, as I'm afraid to connect it to a fuse that remains live when the car is not running. The battery drain protection is supposed to stop the camera from running when the car battery goes to 11.6V, but this doesn't work. The camera turns off somewhere around 10.3V (see photos), which may lower your battery to a point where it will be unable to start the car. For the price of this set, the product is quite cheaply manufactured but is incredible value and I am very impressed by the performance so far. It has exceeded my expectations! See some possible answers to potential questions you may have below.1. The entire package is incredibly easy to install and the company send you video instructions by email once you purchase.2. Be super careful putting the SD card into the slot! Mine fell into the camera and I had to take it apart to fetch it, as result I’ve voided the warranty by removing the seal by opening the camera (see picture).3. I didn’t connect the back camera to the reverse lamp yet, although I planned to. It seems like a lot of effort considering you can flick between the front and back camera with just one button click. Note, you can also display various split screens.4. Front camera quality is very good considering the price. However the back camera quality is quite low. Note, I placed the back camera on the inside of the window and perhaps the glare makes it worse. Reg plates are barley readable even when they're directly behind the back camera, nevertheless its still perfect for reverse assistance (see videos).EDIT: The quality of the video attached to this is significantly worse than what you get. I presume Amazon have reduced the quality. In case you're worried, the camera is a lot better than this!5. The device records both the front and back cameras in two separate folders in 3 minute intervals. Once full, they start overwriting them, unless a collision occurs (I haven’t experienced this).6. Each front camera 3 minute video is 921.6MB and each back camera 3 minute video is 230.4MB.7. The company are very responsive, helpful and informative. It seems like they really care about the customers satisfaction.8. Microphone is very clear.For the price, I would highly recommend!
