I've had one for multiple years and have little to no complaints. Not too heavy, and strong. I gifted one to my younger sister and she enjoys the quality as well. Functions with my front door and sliding door.

I had someone suggest this item for traveling to use in hotel rooms for safety. I used it recently and it's so easy to figure it out and put it up.

I'm not sure I would trust this to jam a door (I'd use the Buddybar for that, since it's a heavier, all-metal construction). What I do trust the Sabre to do—and do well—is to jam a window or sliding glass door track (assuming the track is on the inside of your house, of course). For these purposes, it's a solid four-star product. The only reason it's not a five-star is the little metal pin you shove into the pre-drilled holes to set the bar's length is a royal pain to get in. Once it's in, you're good. Assuming you always use the jammer in the same entry point, there's no need to take the pin out. The Sabre is quickly and easily removed when you're ready to unsecure the entry point. I will add that the bar appears plenty thick, and the adjustable length should be good for most home security needs. It's great that Sabre built this to be a dual-purpose device for doors or windows/sliding doors, but they should have put more thought and care into the door jammer design even if it upped the item's cost. Fortunately, I knew that from reading other reviews. I bought the Buddybar for my front door and the Sabre for my sliding glass door. I would advise you to not cheap out on securing regular doors with anything less than the Buddybar or a similar all-metal device (depending on your door type). Metal jammers are definitely pricey but worth it, considering they're your first line of defense in a burglary or home invasion scenario. You want the best for the most common means of forced entry. For securing windows and sliding glass doors, this Sabre seems to strike the right balance between cost and security. Stay safe!

I bought this and then two days later a man tried to get into my house. He was so mad he was kicking the door and I was so afraid but this door. Stick held up. I can’t believe it. He was so mad. He was trying to bust through the door kick the door everything and that little stick stayed in place and it gave us super loud alarm, so he became nervous and eventually ran away. I thank God every time I think of the event and how lucky I was, I had just bought the stick how lucky I am. I suggest one for every woman.

I use these multiple ways and the disassembly is quick, when you need to remove it for a second. Forgot I had one at a different door and got first hand experience just how well it holds up from the other size.

We bought a couple, and they have protected us from being burgled, lock was broken off , but they could not get in. Well worth the money.

Being an idiot I pulled up front door... had the key on me but had left other key in lock inside so it wouldn't open. Had spare back door key but Sabre was in place. ( Purchased because next door had been burgled by their back door) Trying to get the UVPC door open would have been virtually impossible unless I had a key to open lock. Sabre used my energy pushing the door against me but I did over come it by distorting door at the bottom (not recommended ) and hitting a stiff rod under door against the base of the Sabre. It took time, was difficult and any burglars would have had a locked door. A bit of advice.... It not only makes it difficult for burglars it keeps you out too. So have a plan B .

Tested it out on tiles and carpet and it’s very sturdy doesn’t move at all when trying to open the door. Works great on any sort of door handle. Very impressed!
