Great item ... Extremely POOR Delivery Service from Amazon.
Such a shame you cannot review the Amazon Delivery Service. The ordered item is great (Asus Blu-ray writer). Such a shame about the delivery service ... order states "Parcel was handed to resident.", well let me tell you it wasn't it was just dropped over the garden gate. Luckily this act didn't cause any damage, but the extremely annoying thing is I was actually in at the time and never heard ANYONE knock on the door or even ring the door bell.

Great, expecially for MakeMKV
This drive is awesome, it's fast, needs no special driver updates to work and is literally plug and play! If you're buying this for ripping then it's perfect, it works awesome with makemkv and gets dvd ripped in roughly 10 to 20 minutes and blurays in 15 to 35 minutes. I'm yet to try ultra 4k dvds yet though. It's slightly on the louder side, however, if you have headphones on they it drains it out and the sound isn't winy or high pitch so it isn't ear piercing or anything. It's so good and easy to use that I ended up buying two!

Plays 4K UHD Blu-ray
Purchased to play 4K UHD Blu-Ray. This replaced a normal Blu-Ray drive because I couldn't play 4K UHD disks in my media PC. I upgraded the firmware once installed and can now play 4K UHD disks using VLC after a bit of tweaking.

I cannot remember if it came with software, all I can say is it is a fantastic drive. On the software front I always go to the manufactures (i.e. Asus) web site and download the latest drivers from there.

Message de France. Bonjour à tous, pour ceux qui serait intéressé de connaître ce que ce lecteur sait faire. Il lit tous les supports: ==> CD-DVD-BLU-RAY, ==> grave sans problème les supports simple couche DVD (4.7Go), BLU-RAY (25Go), ==> grave sans problème les supports double couche DVD(8.5Go), BLU-RAY (50Go), ==> grave sans problème les supports simple et double couche BLU-RAY ré-inscriptible (RE), la seule chose que je n'ai pas faite c'est de graver des supports BLU-RAY 100Go. Il est livré avec une suite de softs: gravure-lecteur multimédia et backup. Les essais ont été réalisés sur le matériel suivant: un vieux SEVEN familiale (32bit), avec NERO 9. Bonne fin de journée à tous.

Funciona muy bien y despues de flashearla he podido desencriptar y hacer una copia de seguridad de mis peliculas en mi disco duro para verlas sin dañar los discos originales. La presentación para ser una unidad bulk es muy buena. Esperaba como comenta alguna gente recibir la unidad suelta, envuelta en un pape de burbujas, pero aunque no tiene caja "oficial" si viene en una caja de cartón a medida que sujeta bien la unidad, incluye el cd con el software y la bolsita con los 4 tornillos, ademas la bolsa de plastico trae el logo de asus, lo que da sensacion de ser todo oficial y estar nuevo
