Amazon Basics Vacuum Food Sealer Roll, 28 cm x 5 metre, Pack of 2

I spent a long time looking at expensive models, chamber sealers vs vacuum sealer, reading reviews etc. It seems there's not one model out there that hasn't got problems. I got sick of looking in the end and thought for my first machine I'd just buy a cheap one, and I can't see what could be improved with this one to be honest. It's had some heavy use over the last 2 weeks, I have 2 jam packed freezers so everything likely to be long term stored has now been vacuum packed along with anything that could be shrinked to save space. The bags it came with ran out very quickly on the first day and since I've been using rolls, in fact I've just finished one roll already and the machine is still chugging along nicely. Obviously you can't vacuum pack liquids unless you freeze them first, but that's no biggie, in fact for things like homemade stocks it's better, I've pre-frozen in large ice trays, sealed in big bags, then just cut open remove one and resealed when needed. This is my first time using a vacuum sealer and I wish I'd bought one sooner, it's so easy to use and quite fun in a way. As for durability, who knows? I'll have to update once I finally burn this one out.

Great heavy duty vacuum bags, good size capacity, keep food fresh and seal really well, 3rd box of these now and never had a problem with them, save yourself some money and get these instead of others.

This vacuum sealer is very good considering it's value for money price tag. Very impressed and happy with it.

These vacuum sealing bags are excellent quality and a great value I had no problem using them with a basic vacuum sealer, they are accurate to width. . Because they come on a roll, I can cut them to exactly the size I require and it means theers no waste. compared to pre-cut bags. The plastic is thick and strong, and it seals well without leaks, even for longer freezer storage. I’ve used them for everything from bulk meats to leftovers and been told they can be used for water bath cooking but I havent tried that yet. so far, they hold up perfectly every time. Highly recommend for anyone who uses a vacuum sealer regularly—both cost-effective and practical. No point spending more than you have to for something that might not do the job as well.

Got this primarily for coffee beans to spit a large bag into smaller amounts, especially for expensive specialty coffees. The unit is quite compact and the power lead is long enough too. Has all the functions you need at a very good price. Pleased and impressed with it. Works really well. Just needs a bit of practice as to where you have to place the end of the bags. Bags stay sealed. Have been cutting bags in half which reduces cost. With regard to cost, got a 1kg piece of Stilton cheese and saved £13 on it. Portioned it up and froze some so not quite paid for itself but close.

I am very happy with this vacuum sealer. I have arthritis and it is easy to close and just a light touch is needed on the buttons. The last one I had, which was a different make, was always a problem, it had to be held down really firmly when vacuum sealing, which paid havoc with my hands. Really love this amazon basics model (there is nothing basic about it) and can highly recommend it

Excellent product. These are very thick and durable compared to other more expensive options. The a4 size makes them large enough for most tasks. I even cut these in half for those smaller items without any issues. Highly recommend!
