This is awesome and I highly recommend it. I've wanted one of these for awhile now, but I couldn't find one with great reviews at a reasonable price. Most of these in my opinion are way overpriced with poor reviews. I kept checking back over time and found this one at what I felt was a fair price and it got better reviews than most. It's well worth it, I've had it up for months on the same window applied only once and it hasn't even budge an inch. I live in a place of extreme weather and temps and so far so good. I couldn't afford to have this slip or come off with my older cat or she'd be traumatized for life, she's such a wimp. My kitten loves it, she loves laying on it when the sun hits the window to warm her up in the very cold mornings we are now experiencing. She'll sleep for hours on it just soaking up the sun. We also got a perch that attaches to the window sill and has a heating pad for our older cat, and of course she hates it, because she hates anything made for a cat. She's above that kind of stuff and figures what's good for us (our bed) is good for her and takes it over. The kitten of course loves it as well and uses them both regularly. When I first got this, one of the suction cups had gotten smashed between box and perch and indented a pattern onto cup not allowing it to properly attach to window. I contacted seller who sent two replacement cups free of charge, and promptly without me having to return the defective one. He got back to me immediately and provided excellent customer service. I now have one very happy indoor kitten that gets to observe the big scary forest and will get to see her first snow fall from the safety of her perches.

There are a few options for manufacturers of similar products, but they all seem to be a width that would prevent use on a standard french door with an about 23" window frame, and the prime spot in my apartment for my cat is on a french door.This product's dimensions and the photos provided made me think... let's try to rig it without the suction cups, and for the price, why not?Well, it worked out well, looks decent enough, and after getting used to the minor jiggle when she first jumps up, my cat loves it. The only thing bad about the setup is that the cords to keep up the side opposite the window are too long relative to the next set of screw eyes, so I had to knot them up a bit at the top. The pictures show enough detail to show what I did and how I did it.The steel frame and coated wires are sold, the carpet is soft and comfy, but the nylon underneath does seem a bit cheap (but again, it's $20, so no big deal here).If this wears out in a few years, I'll definitely buy another.

I have three cats and often all three of them want to be near me when I work. I purchased this because I saw someone else in my complex had something similar and their cat looked like they were enjoying it. I immediately went online and purchased what I thought was similar which is how I wound up buying this item.The BobbyPet Cat Window Perch is easy to set up and instructions are only somewhat needed to get it right. Thanks to the pictures in the instruction sheet provided, the installation was relatively easy and took me less than ten minutes. However, the written directions are absolutely atrocious (see picture 1). There are statements such as "set of white on pallets, "chuck horizontal vertical parallel to accept," etc. etc. I have no clue what any of that stuff means even with the pictures. I bought the single perch; although the double perch is pictured in the attached sheet.What is provided is a frame with the mesh base already Velcro'd on. The two cloth cables are attached, each with a wire ring at the end. There are four suction cups. The two blue ones have a hole in its base through which the bottom of the frame is inserted. The white suction cups have a knob that is used to tighten the suction on the glass. Those two suction cups get installed first on top with the wire ring hooked over the knob. The most difficult part was getting everything lined up correctly so it was even.I installed it on my sliding glass door to the balcony. When the door is closed, the perch sits a about a foot above their tall cat condo (see picture 2). When the door is open, it sits high in the air on the left side of the window (see picture 3). I had to put it so high to avoid obstruction with their existing condo when opening and closing the door in a hurry. The perch can be folded against the window easily but there is nothing to hold it in place in that position. Had I put it even with the existing cat condo, I could still move the door but then I would have had to fold it up against the cat condo where the sliding door is locked. It is a good idea to measure the window this will be installed on. The perch is a tad over 23 inches across and installed it is 20 inches from top to bottom and 13 inches from front to back.I had to put all of my three cats on this; one at a time, of course. My heaviest cat loves it and is lounging in it right now (see pictures 8, 9,10, 11, 12, and 13). He use to lounge in a ferret hammock in a kitty playpen I once had, so I think he will be the biggest user of this perch. In fact, he left the perch and then went back on his own several times. My white cat likes it too (see pictures 5, 6, and 7). I put my other cat in the perch several times but he only stayed once (see picture 14). I decided to cover the mesh with a thin felt blanket (as you can see starting with picture 4). It makes the perch more comfortable and prevents me from having to throw the mesh in the wash.Lately one of the top suction cups is not holding. I had to re-adhere it a couple of times. I placed another order for one more of these perches but then canceled it after I saw this issue. I will continue to monitor how it holds and will update my review if it continuously falls off.There are only two other negatives I see so far. The instructions are beyond awful. Bobby Pet needs to fix that. The second negative is that my heaviest cat (16 pounds) likes rubbing his chin against the cable / straps. The material is canvas-like, so it entices him to rub his jowls on it like a brush would. I am afraid he is going to loosen the cables but only time will tell if that happens. So far I am very happy I purchased this and at least two of my three cats are too. My heaviest cat is in love with it. The perch is rated to hold up to 50 pounds (not 100 pounds as the Amazon description claims).

I was looking for a good cat shelf for our windows and I was slightly skeptical of these ones that were all suction cup based but after reading some really good reviews on here, i figured I would give it a shot. They are really easy to assemble and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the suction cups really do hold. On the second one I skipped the step of soaking the cups in warm water and then realized this is a critical step but both are up and holding firmly now. One of my cats is definitely not a light weight so this thing is pretty sturdy and I love that they are easy to move to other windows as needed.

This product worked great at first and my cat loved it! One of the suctions, after a month of use will no longer stick to the window. I think the binding holding the wire together is too think to get a good seal anymore.

Bought this for our cats when we replaced our bay window. The bay was a favorite spot for them. I researched many options regarding window perches. When I found this model, I was sold. It is perfect. I could not be more impressed. Superior quality, very durable, and installs easily. The suction cups work perfectly. I have never had one let loose unintentionally. I did buy an additional fluffy, washable bed pillow that fits perfectly. My cats took to the perch immediately and LOVE it. Added a comfy, soft oval pillow. I highly recommend.
