I bought several knifes in the past year, this is the best. The knife comes very sharp, good steel and perfect ergonomic. The handle is not refined, but some elbow grease and sandpaper makes it perfect.

Great shape and sharp out of the box. I use this knife for my travel kit. We stay in b&b's and resort hotels so I carry gear I know works.

Great blade

Make sure you inspect the handle pins are not protruding out of the handle. When they are protruding, they are sharp and can possibly cut your hand.

Like a razor right out of the box...and stays sharp for a long time..I like the wide blade right at the heel...Makes "rocking cuts" a breeze...

I own a Bob Kramer carbon steel knife and this one while looking very similar it isn’t quite the same. This is a good knife but the thickness of the blade is not the same as the Bob Kramer knife. The Bob Kramer spine of the knife is also eased meaning the edge isn’t quite so sharp. On this knife the spine is not eased as much, so if you are in a marathon potato cutting session and don’t cook every day the spine may dig into your hand if you use the pinch grip on the knife.I still recommend this knife for the price but don’t think that you are getting the same Bob Kramer knife for a discount price.

The media could not be loaded. Beautiful, functional, long, sharp knife. I spend many hours cooking my briskets and like to show off a little bit by slicing them in front of guests. This knife not only looks great but it works even better. The other day, I slightly over tenderized my brisket. Any other knife in my set would cut fine, making thicker slices, but would break apart the meat if I slice too thin. This one cut through it while maintaining the full thin slice without the meat crumbling. The handle has wonderful detail to compliment the Damascus blade. I am very please with this knife and use it at every special occasion I can. As a side note, I used it on crumbly firm crusted bread as well with much better results (as in perfect slices) than my serrated bread knife.
