The ICECO APL20 Portable Refrigerator (21 Qts, 12V) is absolutely the best! It’s extremely efficient, keeps everything perfectly cold, and runs so quietly. I’ve used other portable fridges before, but this one stands out for its solid build and reliable performance. I also highly recommend getting the custom ICECO bag that goes with it — it makes a huge difference in keeping everything cold and fits like a glove. I’m a quilter, so I know quality stitching and materials when I see them, and even though I could make a cover myself, I wouldn’t bother — this bag is that well-designed. Perfect combo for road trips, camping, or RV travel!

This little fridge/freezer is amazing! I originally purchased the ICECO APL 20 for car camping in August 2024. Then Hurricane Helene hit and destroyed my car, my house, nearly everything. I have been living in shelters & hotels since. (Picture is of my hotel ‘kitchen’ set up at the hotel I’m currently at.) The night of the Hurricane, I put as many valuable items as I could on higher ground. Never expecting the waters to reach upward of 5’, I thought the tops of my dressers would suffice for most of my belongings. Out of room, I placed my ICECO APL 20 on top of my bed in hopes it wouldn’t fall off into the water. When I returned to my house the next day, EVERYTHING on top of my dressers were destroyed as the flood waters tipped them all over. My mattress floated & my ICECO APL 20 was saved though!!! Being displaced awaiting on FEMA assistance, I’ve had to move around to several shelters and hotels. I’ve brought my ICECO APL 20 with me and it’s been a lifesaver as far as its versatility; when at a shelter, I’ve been able to store food & not be reliant upon inconsistent food delivery service. And when at hotels, I’ve utilized it as a freezer to store meats, pizza, breakfast bar items & donated foods for the days when food delivery service does not show. Soon I’ll be traveling with my ICECO APL 20 & realized I lost the vehicle charging cable in the flood so I called ICECO Customer Service. I only called customer service to make sure I didn’t order the wrong cable. I never imagined what happened next. Val & Mark with ICECO Customer Service, handled my concerns with compassion & enthusiasm in helping resolve my issue of needing a vehicle charging cable and asked me to give them a day to ask their managers if they could help me out with a warranty claim on the missing cable. They promptly y emailed me & then followed up with a telephone call and with management approval, they’re honoring a warranty claim due to the cable being destroyed - without my having to send them the damaged cable in because of the extraordinary circumstances. I was already impressed with ICECO’s products so It’s comforting to know that the company as a whole matches their quality products with excellent customer service and support. Fantastic overall experience. I cannot wait to be able to afford the ICECO APL 35 for car camping with my new car and continue using the APL 20 as a mini-freezer. This fridge works great and is easy to use. It keeps your food and drinks cold. I have used it on a few road and camping trips since I got it and have had no issues with it. It's light enough that you can move it without assistance and since you don't have to fill half the space with ice it holds a surprising amount of food and drinks. The app is easy to use and helps to get the temperature set right and to monitor it as well.

For the price, really good, really quiet and efficient. Only time will tell for longevity. I knocked a star off becoming I believe it needs baskets. Even if it’s an option it would be better for air circulation and convenience. The freezer if full allows the top items to thaw, there is no gasket between the sections so air can freely move between the fridge and freezer, with baskets it would have more circulation around the food. I have an Engle fridge with baskets and it’s really nice if you spill something or want to unload, just pull the basket out. Overall though, nice and light!

I purchased this to put in my van while traveling, but since this is so light and easy to move around, I now use this even when going grocery shopping, Costco and Sams run. Now I can buy Ice Cream and not worry about it melting before I get home. I do use with the Jackery Battery, so if we decide to stop for dinner after shopping, no problems. I thought it may be a little too small, but it is adequate, anything bigger would be too heavy to be convenient.

Just took the Iceco on its first road trip during some hot muggy summer days. The fridge and the external Iceco battery performed like a champ. It was such a pleasure to have fresh food and cold water on hand and to keep leftovers from the day before. It allowed us to take advantage of picnic tables in remote locations and not worry about finding food. Plugged the battery into the vehicle, and the fridge into the battery. The fridge ran off the battery during all of the stops, some lasting 2-3 hours, and got to about 60-70% charge by the end of the day. It recharged pretty quickly at night in the hotel room. Filled empty fridge space as much as possible with chilled water bottles, to put less strain on the motor and battery. Fridge was very quiet - couldn’t hear it while on the road. It is also light enough for one person to move it to and from the vehicle - a big help. The app was great for checking the internal temperature if necessary.

I use this daily for pop/ice cream and works fine, but the lid was not ever smooth when opening and closing due to the design of it being able to hold the position you open to. Yesterday it made a pop when I was opening it and the HINGEs broke. I just opened a ticket with ICOCO. and should get a new set of hinges that are easy to install. If they send them to me quickly, I'll raise rating to 4 stars.

Fantastic experience. Held our ice cream on the freezer side. Great quality. Looks amazing. I used the app and was able to easily control from my phone.

Draws little power. Keeps cold. Bluetooth app is flawless. Nice ice and ice cream bars while camping is a game changer. Packs a weekend of food easy.

So far so good! Good size to weight ratio. Fast, even and efficient cooling. Looks great. $$$ is my only complaint, especially for Canadian buyers (as usual).

It freezes and does everything as advertised. Hope it lasts as it is expensive!

It’s very quiet, light, all metal so no plastic burning smell like my last fridge by another company. It keeps a steady temperature but, I took 1 star off because the freezer side is consistent and stays at the set temperature, but the fridge side is set at 10 Celsius but the temp in the fridge is about 3 degrees on the far side and -1 close to the freezer side, causing ice to build up inside at that end. The fridges own temp gauge says about 4 Celsius even though it’s set to 10 ? Weird but I just know to set it higher than I want it. Still better quality and happier with it than my last. The 2 latches that keep the top closed tight, are a bit of a hassle to latch up, I think they have better/different types of latches on some of their other models, but I chose this one because it’s about half the weight of the others I was looking at.
