excellent product, with one mindblowing improvement over bamboo one range.....
many people think that this is just a overpriced bamboo one with just new funky design, NO. this design is highly functional and the resolution of the actual tablet as also increased from the previous bamboo one. the active area is marked by white corner lines but the actual stroke area is half inches more than that, this makes the tablet feel very big and usable because you can make long straight strokes without running out of tablet surface. this one thing alone is worth the extra money over the discontinued bamboo one series. and also the tablet is super super thin, thinner that the previous series but is built very nicely NO flex No bumps heavy feel and a quality product. the installation disc that comes with it is useless, download the drivers yourself. yes it uses the same drivers as the bamboo series. thanks for this awesome product amazon, no other online retailer in India provides this at such cheap price.....

A very awesome and easy to use platform
There is nothing to dislike about this device at all. I don't know about the high end digital tablets available out there, but I can assert this confidently that for anyone who has just reached the beginner level of digital art, this is the point to start. So easy to use, convenient and light-weighted! The softwares too are easily available and since the installation which was 2 months ago, I haven't faced a single problem. The absence of the 'eraser' is not much of a problem if you change the function of the side button to act as an eraser. I would say it is more convenient to have an eraser at a click away rather than rotating the pen all the time. And Amazon's delivery too was fast! Just 5 days and it was at my doorstep. I would recommend this product for the beginners in digital art. After practicing on it you can move on to more sophisticated platform. The price is reasonable too!

Great graphic Pen Tablet to learn digital drawing with a budget constraint of within INR 5K to 10K
Review for : One by Wacom CTL -671/K0-CX Graphic Pen Tablet ( 9in x 6in ), Black The tablet is actually great for budding digital artists and also great for those who wanna try their hands on digit art. I liked this Pen Tablet because I didn't expect it would be this much easy for setting it up and using it. It is worth the money as it you would help you draw great stuff with it if you are interested in trying new things out. The pen is like a sketch pen in the way that if you press harder, it will give you dark or high intensity strokes and if you do it softly it will give you lighter strokes. I have been using the tablet for the past 6 months. Tablet is great for learners who wanna try their hands on digital art and photograph editing. Cons: - The pen looses its intensity if you draw too much in a single day as you push the pen way too much to reduce its effects - comparative tablet screen size is a bit small [Reason: your display screen = K * your tablet screen size, where K is the ration up to which your screen is zoomed or proportionate] - a bit slow in response compared to other high end tablets - no extra packaging was done by Amazon other than wrapping the Tablet box with a plastic role only Pro: - Price with respect to quality and usability is quite good - good for budding artist who wanna try their hands on digital sketching and art - you will have 2 buttons in Pen that will be of great use - good replacement of Mouse if you get used to it - handy and portable - don't need extra batteries or power supply In Box you will get: - 1 Graphic Tablet - 1 Pen - 3 + 1 nibs - 1 nib remover - 1 usb cable - 1 CD driver - 1 documentation manual Conclusion: If you are looking for a graphic tablet to learn digital drawing and work on it with a budget constraint of within INR 5K to 10K, then you should go for it. Suggestions while using the Pen Tablet: - wrap the screen of the tablet with a white paper to avoid scratches in it - keep your mouse away while using the pen - don't put extra pressure on the tablet with the pen, as it may affect the life of your pen significantly (you might have to use larger brush even to make small or thin lines because it wont get enough pressure to the tablet screen later on)

Works fine. Do you want to write with this?
If like me, you're wondering if you should go with the small size or medium size for the purpose of writing or making online tutorials/presentations, I'd tell you that the small size (6in x 4in), is WAY too small for that purpose (even for a 15.6in laptop screen). This size would be a LOT better. If for any particular purpose you find that the active area is too large, you can manually scale it down in the Wacom Preferences. The learning curve is fairly steep, and when you write, it will not look as good as on Khan Academy etc. initially, as it requires quite a bit of practice to reach that stage. While the buttons on the pen are customisable, those customisations don't work on all drawing software. For example, if you have set the customisation of any one of the clicks on the pen to "erase", it will not erase on MS Paint. You will have to do that manually by choosing the eraser in the MS Paint software. However, the same customisation works on a program called "Made with Mischief". Initially when I ran MS Paint, I tried drawing a bunch of parallel lines one after the other. I found that in every 4th or 5th line, there would be line breaks. But perhaps, this has to do with the pressure sensitivity, and may be an error on my part in terms of not pressing the pen uniformly (I am new to tablets). It works better on Smoothdraw 4. However, the "line break" problem was only on the first day. From the second day on, it worked just fine with no issues at all (no line breaks even on MS Paint). Pressure sensitivity is good. The piece I received is from Vinay Associates (seller on Amazon is called BIG DEALS-SLP), and their phone number is not on the bill. I am doubtful of their customer service, because when I sent them a mail ("them" as in BIG DEALS-SLP) regarding the "line break" problem (which was not a problem at all, but still they should have had some knowledgeable response), they simply said "call Wacom for technical queries". The lady that picks up the phone in the Wacom customer service (for India) is helpful, but has a pseudo-american accent (which you can clearly make out is fake as hell). I don't understand why you would have to put on a fake accent for Indian customers. The Wacom customer service number for India is 0008001004159. Another thing is, if you're wondering whether you need to buy an external casing/sleeve to store your tablet, I can tell you that the box they give is enough and everything fits well in it. Of course, if you want to carry it around, I am not sure about that. I am new to tablets, so take my review with a grain of salt. Also, take the negative reviews here with a grain of salt too, because most of them seem to be nonsense where even when they have had positive experiences, they have given 3 stars and the others are written by beginners and inexperienced users who don't know how to use the product. Edit: After almost 1 year of using this product, I am quite satisfied with it.

better than intuous when money is considered
for beginer sketchers a must by product is good, worth money you get necessary features in fair amount of money size., pressure levels, resolution all good intous are expensive with very less extra features, the 17000 intuous is of similar size similar pressure level and resolution(just with wireless touch and express keys) active area is important when it comes to sketching, your wrist and shoulder movements needs space for sketching this size is minimum for sketching in my view, dont go for smaller pen tabs than this, if you are planning for developing your skills digitally *** just 1 thing not clear, how my warranty will be covered if product some how malfunctions

Amazing.
After having used this for over a few months I am glad to say that buying this was one of the best decisions I have ever made as a designer. If you are just starting out using a drawing tablet and are confused between ones that have a screen and ones that don't i'd suggest you to get the latter first. The reason being, you get to improve your hand eye coordination. You could switch to a screen tablet once you know how to use this well. This is just my opinion you could go for the screen one as well if you wish to. If you do not have a CD slot in your laptop you can download and install a driver avaiable online for both Mac and Windows users.

Excllent tablet with minor shortcomings
This tablet is fairly basic and is good for beginners. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Fairly small, slim and lightweight. Easy to carry around. 2. 1024 pressure levels are more than enough. The pressure gradations are very smooth. 3. Pointer accuracy is top-notch. I didn't notice any kind of jitter in neither pointing nor drawing. 4. Very good value for money. Cons: 1. There are no expresskeys, which is alright (although inconvenient) as long as one remembers keyboard shortcuts. 2.The minimum pressure detected by the stylus is fairly high, requiring you to press a little to get a stroke started (unlike the Intuos Pro that detects the least pressure possible, which is the weight of the pen itself). But I didn't find it restricting, and it rather gave me better control over fine strokes. 3. The surface of the tablet is very rough and feels scratchy to draw on. But, this may be because my tablet is new. 4. The biggest gripe for me is the lack of application specific settings. This tablet does not allow you to assign different stylus button actions for different applications. If you want this feature, the Intuos pen or the Intuos pro would be better options. I found this to be very limiting and am looking for workarounds. I'll update this review if I find any. If you are looking to use this tablet for serious design or illustrations, a few lesser known brand tablets are worth considering. Monoprice, Huion and UC Logic make tablets that are very cheap (~$50 for 10"x6") and very highly accurate. Some people even consider these better than Wacom's Intuos pro. Do check out some reviews and videos on these before you buy. [Update]: To configure application specific settings, there is a Mac application that I modified to work with this tablet. Best starter tablet for newbies
Wacom tablets are considered industry standard, and rightly so. This particular tablet is perfect for starters as it provides the reliability of a wacom tablet, without confusing the users with too many controls. Till now, I preferred to draw on paper with a pen, but now with this tablet, drawing in softwares such as Photoshop and Sketchbook is far more easier and intuitive than doing so with a mouse. Moreover, the medium size (6" x 9") is perfect for my 15 inch laptop screen, as I felt the smaller model would have given a jumpy cursor. Till date I haven't had any issues with the hardware or software. Its light, sleek and works all the time you plug it in. Plus the pen has pressure sensitivity, which is a boon for serious graphic artists. A lack of eraser at the back of the pen shouldn't be a deal-breaker since you can set the click buttons for the same in device drivers. If you want to get started with pen tablets, look no further. Its worth the money and would serve your ambitions well.
