I purchased this philips 8000b in great indian amazon sale at 8250. This home theater can beat any home theatre and soundbar under 10k to 25k. Best home theatre for 90s bollywood music and horror thriller or sci fi movies. If you use equalizer to this home theatre according to your taste It will produce very rich vocal and instrumental specially dholak and tabla. All you Just need to install realtalk HD audio driver in your computer and connect via aux cable. You will amazing sound quality The Base of this philips 8000b is next level higher fidelity quality All you need just put front speaker & rear speaker volume at 20 and base level at 13 or 15. I purchased sony D40 which has extremely worst sound quality and artificial boosted upper bass that will surely give headache after 10 minute of listening. Sony D40 has class D amplifier which doesn't produce rich quality sound output how much you try to use equalizer to amplify frequency. Philips 8000b has class AB amplifier (TDA 2050 HIFI) which is used in HIFI sound system. I sold sony d40 and got philips 8000b which has truly satisfactory output

Bday gift from GF.... Was looking for heavy bass. Checked out SPA7000B, not sufficient bass. Also checked Sony SA D-10,, very similar to SPA7000B, with no bluetooth and also 4.1. Sony D-100, very powerful bass and crispy speakers, but 4.1 again . Saw some comparison between Spa8000B vs Sony D-100, The bass in phillips is much lower(heavier) and the satellite speakers r ok. So I chose SPA 8000B. delivery and packaging was OK. After setting up and playing, the woofer was cracking and unable to give punchy bass. Not even the bass of iBall tarang 2.1 which i had earlier. I thought it might be a defective piece, or home theatres r supposed to be that way. Was thinking to return, but kept trying in different set ups, TV, Laptop, PC,. Still bass cant fill even small room. Almost about to think about returning., I lift up from PC set-up, and heard some noise in the woofer cabinet. closer inspection, i found out that the noise is coming from the sub. tried to remove the net covering the 8-inch sub, found out two screws were out. Took off the cover and fixed the two screws. also added screw to remaining empty screw slots. After fixing that the sound is Super Bass. My day was made finally and the songs sound much much much better. Like the way those speakers r meant to be. Being a sound enthusiast, i also checked various songs to check speakers from online articles. Passed all of the tests satisfactorily. Bass test, Clarity test, balanced output test, etc., The woofer produce enough bass, while the speakers produce clear un-distorted vocals and instrument sounds.Can hear distinctly even small instruments used in complex recordings... Prologic also works like a charm..Surround(rear) speakers could have been louder but im adjusting that using the remote to increase S volume. I m Loving the music from these speakers. Sound good even at low volume; bass, treble,mid n all... whereas on the higher end, m not sure it can go till the highest volume without distortion, but even before that the sound is already deafening, so not an issue for me.. The woofer size is bigger than i thought, but the design is gorgeous , so if space isnt an issue, it looks great...Im giving ****(4 STARS) because of the screw issue, otherwise its a perfect system for music, movies and tv. I dont know why there r not more reviews already. If ur budget is ok, go for it. (Price-8.3k). Sorry for the lengthy review but since i went through similar research before choosing my first home theatre system, I hope my experience will help someone here.

Bought in October 2017, now its October 2019 still faced no issues after all its Philips not any local brand. It has 8" subwoofer that's why i purchased it, 8" sub produce deep and thumping bass, no distortion at high volume, 45watt power output of amplifier (Philips used their own TDA2050 ic for sub, and TDA2030 for the mid/high speaker) with good size of transformer with separate power output for tda2050 and for tda2030. Built quality is good. Bass is natural and powerful, Subwoofer volume can be adjusted using remote control. 5 speakers are also producing natural sound and loud enough at 30% volume level, no need to go 50 or 100% level. Dolby Prologic 2 works very well, separation is awesome like you will hear dialogue only from front and center speaker, and the rear speakers works when there is sound like helicopter, gun fire, rain, folk singing, claps, blast, piano, guitar, and 3D virtual sound. so place rear speakers at high level and back side with facing towered you, so you can feel the effect of Dolby Prologic 2 like you feel the effects in theaters. Bluetooth works fine no connection issue till now, USB works well( remote comes with number pad so you can jump to any song), aux and 5.1 input also works well(need proper input to get best sound from home theater like Dolby Digital Out Set top box, or PC out) bass 8/10 mid 8/10 high 7/10 loudness 9/10 overall value for money product.

The product is quite average in terms of sound and quality. I have seen 2.1 systems in this price range which sound better and last longer. This one lasted for hardly 8 months, and after that it literally stopped working. I lodged complaint with its tollfree number and requested for a technician to visit my house. He charged me Rs. 2000 (without providing me any bill) to fix it's PCB inspite of being in warranty. When he fixed the PCB, the product wouldn't even switch on. So he promised me that he'll get a totally new PCB by next day. Since then, noone from their team has returned with a PCB and I don't even have a bill for their visit. Its like a thief came to my house and ruined my product and charged me for it. I have lodged 12 complaints between October 2019 to August 2020 on their tollfree number, and everytime, Philips keeps closing my requests with remarks such as: "customer not available", "PCB Changed", "technician out of city". And when I call their tollfree for a refund, they simply refuse for the same and they tell me whatever transaction happens between you and the technician, Philips has no say in it, so you better deal with the problem by calling the technician yourself. Now its been almost 10 months since my product is not working, I have paid the fees as suggested by Philips, but their technician has only looted me and ruined the condition of my product even beyond repair. I can't vouch for their products, but I sure would suggest everyone to keep this horrible customer service experience in mind before buying any of their products. Plus, their warranty doesnt stand anywhere.

delivery was not handled with care my woofer was totally broken the speaker was out the system however i fixed it rather then returning the product kindly deliver with care Very good product at this price range it gives 3d positional audio and surround sound i mind blowing philips done a very good job Pros: Amazing sound with high bass Lot of options like usb , fm , sd card support and etc Woofer with 50w gives very good thunder bass Bluetooth is supported so we can able to connect our phone by Bluetooth to play songs Longer wire length wil support to connect the satellite around the wall Can able to connect all devices including phone,laptop,computer,tv,dvd player and other devices with a single 3.5mm audio RCA adapter jack Prologic option is in remote so we can able to disconnect the 2 surround satellite and we use other 3 satellite for good sound Remote controller is available and the all the options of the input changing , volume up and down ,prologic fm tuning, mute are also available These are defaultly available in woofer also 12000 w pmpo gives excellent sound in watching movies and music good choice to buy This speaker is made for bass lovers Cons: There is no cons at this price range and thunder theater sounds in this speaker but one cons is A RCA 3.5mm Adapter is need to connect by the way of 3.5mm audio jack But i know that including home theatre lovers also not carried about these cons because of its wonderful pros
