This backpack works great for my 3rd grader. It's a good size that will comfortably fit a binder with several notebooks and full sized folders, and will have no problems zipping up. There are a ton of pockets and zippered areas for little trinkets and school supplies, and even a "secret pocket" in the back part of the backpack, which my kiddo loves.It is made of a pretty cool material that looks very durable and yet lightweight. It's a nice low-key design, which is perfect for a kid ready to move out of the "cute", more juvenile backpack phase. The straps are nicely padded so even with a fully loaded first day of school load, my son was very comfortable wearing it around.

Only downside to this very nice pack is the large "Bluboon" logo that's permanently attachedThe logo has s cute little cartoon picture of a tractor, which is no problem, but then it also has the letters "BLUBOON" printed around the tractor image 5 times. Sigh.Since "BLUBOON" is a nonsense word in our language, with a kind of a silly/jokey sound to it, we don't really want it to show on a pack for school. So we'll be looking for a round sew-on or iron-on patch to cover it up.Otherwise, looks like a well built good size pack.Pluses:Extra reinforcement straps and "X" shaped reinforcement stitching to help it lastPlenty of compartments, some zippered and some drop-in inner ones;One security zippered pocket that's against your back as you wear it;The zippers all works smoothly and the main compartment zipper is double;The grab handle at the top is really nicely padded, and there's a separate unpadded hanging loop;The black fabric is pretty, and the silky inner lining fabric is beige to make it easy to find things

This is a very nice backpack. It is a good size for my middle schooler, not too big, not too small. It has lots of useful pockets of various sizes and good-sized pockets on either side for water bottles. My daughter loves the unique and pretty color. She also LOVES that there is a soft cushioned handle on top that she can pick up the pack and hold it in her hand plus a separate sturdy handle that can be used to hang it on hooks at school.

First off I love the color of the backpack!!! The quality is nice. The sizing and spacing is pretty decent. It’s very sturdy and I think it will last a long time compared to other backpacks that I’ve had. So far been using it mostly for outings theme park beach day, Park days and such. It’s been efficient at being able to fit all of our extra supplies that we need to bring. It would also make a really good backpack for school as well. Or even as a good travel back.

Love how well made it is. Very spacious and so many pockets! The straps are cushiony and backpack is very comfortable. My daughter took it for her first day of school in high school and she loved it. It is also made of a water resistant material and that's a plus. I had to remove a star because it did have a terrible smell to it when I opened the bag, like it ha been stored for too long. We aired it out for a day and added disinfecting spray and perfume to help. Completely gone now but I couldn't overlook it.

My son has gotten to the point of swearing off cartoon/ kiddie backpacks. Bums me out, but it's ok, it's what he wants. A black backpack with plenty of compartments. This fits the bill just right. Great quality, construction feels solid. No fuss on color, it's black. Straps are nice and comfy. Although it has plenty on compartments, it's not bulky. Definitely worth the purchase!
