I have a few sets of polyhedral dice, but they tend toward more flashy, decorative themed color schemes that are often harder to read, or they are sometimes slightly small feeling in my large hands. I have one old black set that's pretty good, but the numbering has faded and worn from years of use. Plus, I'm often grabbing extra mis-matched 6-sided dice for certain types of lookup tables or other rolls. Functional but not aesthetically pleasing, especially when they are dotted craps-style dice. Maybe I'm being really picky about these things, but when you're rolling dice over and over, legibility, feel and completeness in a set all become quality-of-life things. This double set resolves all of those issue for me. The dice all feel good and substantial, but not overly bulky in my hands, and they are extremely easy to read. They are attractive enough (dark red/green and black with reflective gold flecks), without sacrificing readability at all. Plus, all of the extra matching 6-sided numbered dice means that I can go for just one (or two) pouches for most of my personal RPG needs and keep things both aesthetically pleasing and clear regarding who rolled what. I was very specific about what I wanted, and this set seems to be in a "just right" Goldilocks zone for me. I highly recommend a solid, no-nonsense dice set like this.
