Powerful electric reciprocating saw.
The GALAX PRO Reciprocating Saw set arrived professionally packed in a printed cardboard box bearing an image of the unit.In the box you get the saw, an Allen key, three blades (1 wood cutting and 2 metal cutting) and an instruction manual. The saw is electric powered and is rated at 710W and has a 2 metre power cord attached terminating in a UK 3 pin 13A plug.In use the saw works well and cuts with a minimum of vibration and speed is easily controlled by the variable trigger.A good buy at the price.

Fine for a budget option
First thing, it arrived with three blades instead of five. One of each type. It loses a star immediately for that. The blades aren't labelled like they are in the product image either. It's not rocket science to know which is which but it's still an inaccuracy in the product listing. It's medium weight so should never be used with one hand. The blade sits very loose in this particular model compared to two others I have. All reciprocating saws hold the blade loosely to some extent, it's called "blade play", but with this one it's very extra. I do not recommend it for someone's first time because of this. That particular thing aside, it performs and cuts quite well for a budget option. If you want one at home for the odd job and you already know what you are doing then it's an ok option.

Powerful Saw
This saw is excellent and has saved me loads of time and effort in building an internal stud wall in my garage. The build quality is as good as anu of my other tools from leading brands and it has a standard interface for the blades so it is easy to get replacements and ones for different materials. I found it particularly useful when cutting in to the existing wall - I was able to change the blade to one suitable for metal to cut through the nails in the studwork, enabling me to remove sections of stud wall without disturbing the adjoining uprights. Excellent tool that I have already used on this and other jobs.

Missing
Pay the extra for 5 blades still only get 3. This tool does cut reasonably well (only on wood so far) but it does vibrate a hell of a lot if using every day I would go for the bigger names however for the price occasional use this will do the job goggles are a must.

Like a hot knife to butter
I'm very impressed by the quality of this product and how simple it is to use. It's well made, looks and feels great and is easy to use. It's one of the simplest saws for blade swapping that I've used. The connection is so quick and allows for almost instant changing, you just give it a twist and it will allow you to seat or replace without needing to use a hex key or mess around. You can get universal blades for it too and as I already have several, I was able to check they lock and they do.Cutting wise this is a million times faster than using a saw and I wanted this for breaking down wood for winter. I have an open fire and it's back breaking using a manual saw. This allowed me to fill my outdoor container in quarter of the time and saved a ton of work. You can lock it to stay permanently on which allows you to get to harder to reach areas with ease. I was able to clear four stumps under my privets with one hand.Everything can be stored in the box too. Other can be a nightmare as once assembled they're too big but this fits back with ease.

Good Value
For £40 this is a decent cheap reciprocating saw, it makes easy work of pipe and unistrut, and it leaves a nice clean cut.The blades supplied are cheap but fine for general use, but you can fit a quality blade with no issues, as its a standard quick release mount system.Feels fine in use, with no more heat or noise than any other corded reciprocating saw I have used in the past.If i had a complaint it would be that the cord is pretty short and the paint on the shoe is too thick, so it doesnt actually follow the workpiece as it cant tilt, once it wears in a bit its fine though.
