The image is super sharp, even in pitch black with the infrared turned up. I can easily see details like the texture on tree bark or small animals moving around 50–100 yards away. The 9 levels of infrared are really helpful—you can dial it up if it’s totally dark or keep it low if there’s some ambient moonlight to save battery. What really sold me was the big 3.5" HD screen. It's so much nicer than squinting through tiny eyepieces. I can comfortably scan with both eyes open, which feels way more natural, especially over longer sessions.
