I’ve gone through quite a few sand options for my little guy’s bath time, and this sand is hands down my favorite. Right out of the bag it has a soft, fine texture that feels natural, not harsh like cheap reptile sand or grainy play sand, and my hamster immediately started exploring it. Unlike some bathing sands that kick up dust or make a mess, this one stays nice and low dust, which gives me peace of mind because hamsters have very sensitive respiratory systems. I appreciate how it doesn’t irritate his nose or eyes, and cleanup is super easy compared with other brands I’ve tried before. My hamster loves to dig and roll in it. It’s almost like watching him in slow motion when he’s fluffing up his fur. It seems to really help absorb oils and keep his coat looking clean and healthy. I purchased for my two guinea pigs and they loved it . Very soft and non clumping .

We use this in a little litter box and the hamster immediately started using it as a bathroom. Convenient to clean up!

I poured it out, and set it in. When I took it out I ended up with my fingers in the "sand". Its not sand. I know beach sand that is not as sharp as this. I will be requesting a refund. Its more like shards. I am waiting to see if there are adverse reactions with my two hams. I am not happy. Where is the quality control. Salt is softer than this.

This bath sand is the worst! I’m surprised with Niteangel with this. My entire ham’s cage is engulfed with dust on every side. These little guys have respiratory issues and that should be the number one concern here, but it’s not. Guess I should’ve read the reviews because I’m not the only one saying this. Not hamster safe at all. It’s all dust.
