This is my 25th purchase of Mystical Fire, and I will be buying it as long as they make it! It makes a campfire into something amazing to gaze at and really just relax to - amaze your friends and neighbors as all of the colors of the rainbow blaze from your fire, reds, blues, greens, even indigo, magenta, and a deep azure blue. The coals will be violet for a long, long time as well. If you throw in 2-3 packets, they will last about 30 minutes depending on how the fire is burning. You don't want to throw these on as soon as the fire is started or they will just burn up within 10 minutes or so, leaving only a brief display. For the best results, wait until the fire has been established and dies down, and there are a nice bed of hot coals and throw in your packets and you can enjoy for hours and hours. Truly works, and the best brand I've found for adding color to your fire. LOVE these, and would highly recommend them to anyone. Have even given them to friends and neighbors as gifts!

We surprised our family at Christmas and bought these for some extra fun. I was a little nervous how they worked and if it would be okay inside. They come in sturdy, individual packet envelopes that you simply toss in with your logs. Super easy and very colorful!! So far we used them indoors and they worked great - No popping out on our white carpet. : ) You don't have to use very many so they last for a long time. We're about to finish building our outdoor firepit this week and I'm looking forward to using them outside, as well! Great value for the amount you get and the price!

The aurora-like glow from this product on an open fire is hypnotizing. Colors range from aqua to purple in the same fire. Wait to use after preparing any over the same fire. Chemicals are not consumable.

These work! Get your fire pit nice and hot then throw in two packs. The pop of color lasts about 30 minutes. It is so relaxing to watch the fire and flames and is even more enjoyable when you have some fun color. Always the focus of conversation when the color packs go in the fire. For us, we toast marshmallows first, then add the color after the food goes away. Who knows what chemicals are in there…

Love these things and the colors are beautiful and long lasting. Just toss one in the fire when no one is looking and listen to the ooos and ahhhhs!

I'm pretty happy with the way these work. They seem to have included the right amount of salts in the packet to make a fire glow in an assortment of colors (I got mostly blues and greens in addition to the regular orange). In person, it actually makes quite a nice effect (it doesn't show up quite as well in photography, but you can still get a sense of it from the attached photograph). Chemically speaking, what's happening is the same effect some of you might recall from the "flame test" you might have done in a chemistry class. When heated, the electrons in these salts achieve higher energy levels. When they return to their ground state, they emit the excess energy in the form of photons of specific energies which correspond to the various colors produced. Because the chemistry involved is so simple, it would be entirely possible to just obtain the particular salts you want to produce whatever colors you want. If you were going to be doing this on a large scale, in fact, that would be a more economical solution. However, because these salts are often sold in relatively large quantities relative to the amount you need to add to your fire, I quite like the convenience of this product which has prepackaged appropriate quantities of each substance for this particular use. Yeah, it's more expensive per gram this way, but if you just want to color a few fires, this is a cheaper option than buying bulk supplies of a lot of salts.

Great price in the large multi pack. So convenient to have on hand if u have a lot of fires. Everyone loves a magical fire. Many colours and 1 pk lasts about 20 min we find. We do 2 packs at once for an intense light show. Love this fun product

schön... Anders kann man es nicht beschreiben. Wir hatten vor kurzem erst eine Tüte und nach ein paar Stunden noch eine Tüte ins Feuer gelegt... die Flammen entsprechen auf dem Bild. Man kann einfach nicht mehr davon wegsehen.
