Ian's Choice Organic Cotton Pads for Feeding Support Extra Soft and Absorbent (12 Pack)

I have used many types of peg pads and never had comfort. The best thing I found was a tube sponge but then you have a ton of waisted material not to mention they are expensive and you get all sticky from taping it in place. There are similar pads on ebay that are ridiculously expensive plus the stitching around the site was very uncomfortable and irritated my granuloma. These pads are wonderful!! They are sooo soft and extremely absorbent. They are so comfortable I forget that I have it on! The construction is great with strong metal snaps and a very fluffy, soft, and light material. Thank you so much for making such a spectacular product!

Super easy to apply, super easy to remove, no more tape and adhesive sticking and pulling on the skin, no more expense on gauze and tape, it does multiple jobs very well, absorbs drainage without over absorption, provides a super soft comfort barrier against skin and plastic disc , no redness due to application of this cotton pad. all the home health staff that come to my home are so impressed with this product that i've given them samples to show their clients and more than one medical professional that have seen this cotton pad on me have stated that all clients should have this item as a standard of care product. I love this product and wish i had came up with this idea,

when everything else gets complicated (learning to use the feeding tube, having to give up food, feeling strange and different) this small thing makes a big difference. even the homecare worker was intrigued and plans to look into. Saves skin from repeatedly having dressing tape ripped off. Saves bandaging going into landfill. This is a terrific product, great idea, and brings us dignity and comfort. So easy to take off, replace, and they're washable over and over. I was tired of ripping tape off, this is soft, works with a snap, is friendly, warm, cozy.

A little big for the diameter (at least for my little girl), and edges are not completely serged (so there's a little bit of fraying in the first couple of washes), but they are very soft and--so far--pretty durable. They are less expensive than other brands, and I can accept a slightly-lowered quality for how much I'm saving. We are constantly losing tube pads, so these seem like the right compromise between quality and price efficiency.

My daughter is 20 months old with a fairly new G-tube (placed less then 2 months ago). It seemed to heal well at first but then started leaking. When the tube was placed no body told us it was normal for it to leak & when it does leak that the stomach acid would irritate the skin leaving major redness & scabs. After calling the nurse twice, it was finally recommended to try a "Button Buddy". After searching I found this product that was perfect! Organic material, light colors so it didnt show through her clothes, easy to wash & they fit her G-tube button perfectly. I do sew & actually contemplated making my own but by the time I bought the materials & the time it would take away from my 2 small kids, it was a no brainer. This was a great value for the price! Thank you for creating such an amazing product that was a huge life saver for my daughter. The redness & scabbing literally cleared up in less then a week after using these.

I read a lot of mixed reviews before ordering because I get my tube next week and my Etsy order won't be delivered in time. I got these today and checked through them and some were a little frayed in the sewing but not as bad as they were made out to be and nothing that I couldn't live with or that I couldn't run through the sewing machine myself if it becomes a problem. They were all the same size and very soft. I saw a lot comments about how they fell apart in the washer or dryer, and as a retired paramedic and home care aide who did use something similar to these in the past here is my advice for washing them: I use hot water in a bowl and laundry sanitizer ( though you don't have to do that, I do because I like it) and I let them soak for about 20 minutes. I follow this with a hot water rinse in the bowl and then empty it and put a few drops of concentrated free and clear laundry soap in the bowl, fill it with hot water and wash them by hand followed by 3 hot water rinses before I hang them up to dry( sometimes we put them in front of the heater to help dry them better). These aren't really meant to go in the washer or dryer and that's why they fall apart. I hope this helps someone!

These ARE nice and soft. BUT, way too tight. My son kept pointing at his button and was in pain. These covers were too tight and irritated the heck out of the stoma.

The softness was important as well as the fit. Most importantly, I was able to stop using tape which pulled and irritated my skin each time I moved. The Pad also allows for easier rotation of my MIC-KEY. The light color material allows for more accurate fluid leak tracking, whereas others were either too dark or had designs that made leakage checks difficult. The pliability of the pad allows for easy snapping and unsnapping. Being Organic was also a determining factor. As an adult who has just had my tube placed, I say Thank You Ian for making my adjustment to it, so much more comfortable and doable.
