Barney: Colourful World - Live [DVD]

This is a great dvd and a rare Barney treat - a live recording. They don't do that anymore unfortunately, so its nice for the people who don't/can't attend to see the amazing shows Barney puts on. It's a really fun adventure around the world with Baby Bop, BJ, their friends at the park and of course, Barney. There's some really good songs on here, a nice mixture of Barney songs and more traditional songs (my daughter LOVES singing along to The wheels on the bus and Mr Sun). The sets are very nicely done and the characters are all talented in their own right(the underwater is probably my favourite. The whale gets me every time with his sparkly blow hole trick!!). This is a regular at my house! By the way, it says on the cover that there's a free colouring book inside... I got mine brand new in its wrapping but it was missing!! Anyone else have that problem?!!

I have not actually seen the DVD...yet...But we did take our Daughter( 2yrs old ) to see the live show in Glasgow, earlier in the year. It was, as the title suggests, colourful, and great fun. My wee lassie stood on my knee, mesmerised, singing and clapping to a host of fave songs! He travels the world, Jungle, North pole, Underwater, singing and dancing all the way. There are dancing penguins, an elvis style Starfish, a huge whale to name but a few of the surprises. If you are like us and already own a plethora of Barney tapes, then i suggest you get this one...I have pre ordered it!! Cheers

This is the only Barney dvd that my daughter would watch, and boy did she watch it over and over. She has moved onto Dora and Diego now but still asks for it once and a while.

My daughter loves Barney and so when this one came out, I bought it for her. I found that the beginning had been doctored to show some very posh English children getting ready for an "ad ven chah" but it then changed to the American stage show. The running time is quite long on this so keeps them busy for a while. It does get quite boring for the adults as it is basically just a live show, taped on stage somewhere with not much variation. The children have fixed smiles and loud confident voices which pitch up at the end. But what can I say - my 2 year old loves him.
