I picked up the **DECOHS 4 Pcs Pick and Pluck Foam** to use in a custom gun box I built, and it worked out really well. The foam was easy to work with, and the pick-and-pluck design made it simple to shape everything exactly how I needed it for a clean fit. It holds everything in place nicely and gives the case a really professional look. The foam feels firm enough to protect the gear but still soft enough to shape without a hassle. Having four pieces in the set was also nice since it gave me some extra to work with. I got this DECOHS Pick Apart Foam Insert to customize storage for some of my tools and gear, and it works really well. Used this in a cardboard tray to make a transporter for my plants so they won't tip over in the car. Very easy to use and fits my plants very securely. You can do some pretty good fine tuning since the segments are small. Even the leftovers are useful Took apart and used some of the detached blocks to stuff in a gap in between work tables that was getting annoying and it worked out great. Could also squeeze them as a stress cube. Get creative! Comes in sealed packaging and puffs up quickly as soon as you open the package. I don't recall any annoying odors after opening the package.

Thinner than expected but worked for the purpose of packing and checking tools on work trip.

Foam is good, easy to cut and worked out well enough. Only issue was from the vacuum seal. All of the foam is compressed into a flat package for shipping, and one edge never came back to normal shape. For my purposes it was not a game stopper.

standard pluck foam easy to tear out and cut out

These foam inserts are made of a high quality dense foam and the pick squares are readily identifiable/marked and easy to remove. Very happy with this purchase. One thing to note is that they come vacuum packed in two layers of vacuum packing. When I first opened the package I freaked out a bit because they were so thin and not the 2” as specified in the description. I then realized it was vacuum packed so opened up the package knowing that they should expand as soon as the seal was broken. Anticipating the expansion, I started to breathe a sigh of relief however it quickly caught in my throat when the inserts remained 1/4” thick. I then had a second mini-freak out until I realized the inserts were encased in yet another layer of packaging. I cut through that layer and… <cut to montage of mass dancing in the streets, awesome displays of fireworks, tears of joy, champagne corks popping, and rooms full of people shouting and hugging and clapping> ….the foam immediately started to expand!! It took about an hour to get them to the full 2” depth, but they got there, so just be patient and it will happen!

The pack came vacuum packed into a super flat package (about 1/2in for all 4 foams). It wasn't until the cat sat on the package and managed to make a tiny hole that they started to expand. Very quickly they expanded to proper full-size and it's clear the foams are excellent and just exactly as described. (you really cant' tell when they are squeezed flat). Excellent and exactly the size I needed.

Sirvió muy bien para proteger herramienta eléctrica en una caja mediana. Tuve que hacer cortes y hacer una plantilla en papel con las dimensiones y la forma de la base de la caja. Al principio no fue muy sencillo pero tomándose el tiempo necesario y haciéndolo con calma y un cutter con una hoja nueva, el resultado final fue es deseado. Me parece que lo más complicado es hacer formas irregulares, un marcador fue de mucha ayuda, más que nada, para saber qué cuadritos iba a retirar. Estos cuadritos no están sueltos, tienen unas uniones con los que los rodean, hay que cortar esas uniones para poder retirarlos. De verdad, en serio, la paciencia ayuda mucho.
