Botaretinol Youth Repair Solution Serum 35ml

I really wanted this to work out for me. My face seems to be quite sensitie to retinol, so I was really interested to try something that's supposed to cause less irritation but be just as, if not more, effective. The issue I have is retinol burn, that no matter what tiny amount is used will slowly develop over time (sometimes months) and continue to get worse until I stop using it entirely. I've used two products so far where that has happened, and wanted to try one more before I give up on it entirely.This product is great in that regard - if your face isn't as sensitive to retinol as mine. Now, this product is less of a serum and more like a lotion in it's consistency, which is more than welcome. It's nice that it's moisturizing and protects your skin a bit. I've been using it every other day for a few weeks now and it's been great, I've gotten past the dry flakiness part and just the slightest but of acne, but a little over three weeks in and I'm starting to see the teeny signs of the slowly building redness creeping in. That's better than other retinol products I've tried, so I'm not going to give up on this one. This is super easy on my skin (for a retinol product), so I'm just going to back off to once a week and see if that helps, instead of stopping it entirely like I've had to in the past, though I may have to eventually.So yes, it lives up to the promise of being more gentle, I can definitely attest to that. But it's still retinol and if your skin is really sensitive to it like mine, it's not necessarily going to be the answer you're looking for. It is very moisturizing with a nice texture, and one pump from the travel bottle is all you need for your whole face so it's going to last a very long time, which also makes this an excellent value.I do wish the instructions and everything it came with had more English. I used google image translate, but having at least the ingredients in English instead of some marketing copy would have been nice.

This HOLIKA HOLIKA botaretinol youth repair solution set comes with a full-size bottle of youth repair serum and then 3 smaller travel size bottles of youth repair serum. Retinol can be too strong for some people to use, and I have to be very careful and wear sunscreen if I use retinol. I also try to stay out of the sun if I'm using retinol. It has a light and creamy texture and consistency. It glides on and absorbs well into my skin. It's been helping with my fine lines, but I only use it a few times a week because I have sensitive skin.

This product is great but it can be too much for sensitive skin. My skin is used to tret, so this didn't irritate me at all. This is less of a serum and more like a moisturizer. It's nice that it's moisturizing although I still use a moisturizer on top. I would suggest incorporating it slowly, once a week and then bumping it up to everyday as you go. The beginning stages can involve a bit of flaking and purging. I refer to these as the "retinal uglies". If you stick it out, eventually you get pretty glowing skin, but you have to slog through the bad parts first. Be sure to wear sunscreen.

I feel like this has almost no retinol in it. I never saw any improvement I'm my skin while using. It's ok. Didn't cause any irritating, just don't think it works.

I wasn't sure what to expect. I had tried Retin A but it left me peeling like a lizard, so I decided to give this Retinol cream a try. Wow!! It is an unscented light cream that absorbs easily into the skin. It does leave my skin feeling a very little bit tight the next day, but oddly my skin is not dry as a result. No lizard skin!! And oh my, is my skin smooth and glowing!! The package I received didn't have ANY English on the box or bottles so I had no idea what the extra 3 bottles were for. I thought maybe they were refills for the big bottle so I tried to take apart the big bottle to maybe "load" them in....but that didn't work. So I decided they must be travel sizes. Which is nice actually because I travel often and I can take the smaller size with me. THEN I had no idea how to get to the cream...I finally discovered you have to twist the top to pop up the pump. Wish there was some English on the box/bottles. BUT, once I figured out the bottle, the serum works and I will definitely keep using it. Highly recommend.

The kit includes one full size (35 mL) bottle of the retinol cream, as well as three smaller bottles (10 mL) which are more of a travel size. I mistakenly thought these bottles contained different products, but it is all the same cream, in multiple bottles.The texture is fairly thin, with a smooth cream consistency. Not too sticky or gel-like. It dries quickly and didn't leave my skin feeling sticky, and the scent was fairly light - I think the scent comes from the ingredients themselves, as opposed to an added fragrance.It didn't irritate my skin, which was quite nice. However, my skin doesn't play well with retinol, so I can't use this product every day, even though it's at a lower concentration than many other retinol products that I have tried. That's not an issue with the product itself so much as my own skin. The fact that it left me feeling quite dewy the days that I used it as opposed to really dried out was awesome! Someone less sensitive than I am might get a lot of use out of these.The only downside is that I do wish that the product included English instructions along with the Korean ones, or at least that there was an easier way to access the info online besides just using the product listing.

This repair solution comes nicely packaged and you get one larger bottle and three smaller travel bottles. I am unclear on how exactly to use this product because there are no instructions in English to be found. My skin does tend to be more on the sensitive side with retinols, so I started off slow and only used a small amount a few nights per week. I continued to progress up a little at a time since there were no sensitivity issues whatsoever. I am assuming that there is not much retinol in this product to begin with, and I did not really see any results either. I would not get this again.
