Not 110 db. Really really low.

It does work for an alarm, but is not very loud. The dog may hear it, but I would not hear it at all from a basement sump pump. Good that it's easy to install because there is not one word of instructions. The light is bright enough if you're in the same room.

5 STARS, its something that you would rather have and not use than to need it and not have it. This is quite loud but its there for a reason, dont flood your house or foundation.Plug it into a spare breaker, try not to use the same one in case the breaker trips due to a problem with pump so it can alert you of the issue ASAP.So far its working, I will update if something goes wrong or if it gets better than it already is.

This review is for the OELFFOW Sump Pump Alarm, Tethered Float Switch Alarm, 110db Loud Alarm with Large LED IndicatorI was surprised to find that there were no instructions provided with this however I plugged it into a wall outlet and proceeded to test it out. You would mount the light box above a possible water level and place the float in the area you want to check. There is a movable yellow weight/collar that you can adjust to provide more or less movement before the alarm is sounded. However I think using this in a standard sump pump well would be difficult to get it adjusted correctly. My biggest complaint is that the alarm is supposed to be loud around 110 decibels but when I checked using 2 differnt apps on my phone the most it would register was between 75 and 80 decibels! To me this sounded like an alarm clock level and I would not hear it going off in my basement while I slept upstairs.I honestly cannot highly recommend this product!

Who sells a product that involves electricity and WATER without any instructions?I just don't understand.The alarm in the unit I received is NOT very loud.I do not recommend this product.

I live in the midwest, and no matter what steps you take to avoid it, at some point your basement or crawl space will flood. It's inevitable. I had a line powered sump pump with a water powered backup and both failed. I replaced the combination with a new line powered pump and battery powered backup pump, with an alarm to let me know if there was a battery pump failure. Once again both pumps failed, and the alarm never notified me.You can't beat nature and the water is going to come. I can deal with it if I know about it. The OELFFOW Sump Pump Alarm is a part of my solution. I still have the deep cycle battery for the failed pump, and am using it with an inverter to keep the new pump powered through a power failure. Having two pumps didn't help, but a good backup for power failures will. If the OELFFOW Sump Pump Alarm sounds, then I know I have to throw in my standby pump.You can adjust the sensitivity by moving a counterweight on the float, so you can arrange for it to trigger at the point best for your application. The water alarm sounds at 110 dB, which you should be able to hear far away. The bright red flashing light is easily visible as a trouble indication.This is a solid industrial grade product, well worth it to protect yourself from water infiltration.

This float switch alarm is well made from quality plastic material. It is durable, sturdy, and easy to use/install. Simply place the float where you want it to activate the alarm and light. Plug it in and you're off to the races. This simple unit can make all the difference in saving your property and thousands of dollars in damage. Certainly worth the investment.
