Replaced a Broan PM390 range hood insert after about 5 years due to motor bearing failure. Compared to the Broan, this unit is far superior. The lights are brighter, it is quieter, the grease filter design is superior, and it fit perfectly in the original liner hole. After 4 months of use, I removed the grease filter baffle, wiped off as much of the oils and grease that I could, and put it in the dishwasher along with a regular load of stuff. It came out looking like new! The old Broan had an aluminum mesh filter which was poor in capturing cooking oil vapors, and it would drip oil from the filter a short time after cleaning, which was always a mess. The rattle that other people complain about is not a problem for me, but I did make sure all the screws in the grease trap assembly were tight--some were loose. Its something of a pain to remove all of the protective film over the stainless steel parts before installation, but the unit looks good after you do that! My only gripe so far is that the control buttons are difficult/impossible for my wife to reach--they end up over 75" from the floor in our installation, and not on the front of the unit like the Broan design. Not sure if the motor assembly in this unit will last very long since it probably has sleeve bearings like the Broan did (sleeve bearings are much cheaper than ball bearings and they always fail after the item is out of warranty), but the rest of the design is superior.

* Company did send out a replacement. Motor/Fan just stopped working after 60 days with VERY limited use. Lights work so I know it has power. Just not a quality item.

Excellent value for the money, easy to install, great quality - the light and fan work very well and saved me a lot of money! If you are looking for a good quality range hood insert this is it.

Purchased this product back in August 2022. Worked pretty well with extraction but also fairly noisy. As of today the noise from the motor is intolerable & it is making a very loud rattling noise. Checked supplier details & they only support the product for 6 months. I'm just 7 days' past that. Disappointed in the quality & lack of support. Update - After posting the above review earlier this year, the seller got in touch, despite being past the 6 months' support window. They asked could they trouble shoot to see if they could resolve the issue. We tried a few things & I sent back video footage to the supplier of the noise the unit was making. I am very pleased to say they made good by sending me a whole new unit to replace the faulty one, even though I am now passed the 6 months' product support window. They communicated regularly with me & kept checking to see if their suggestions had resolved the issue. I am now very satisfied with how the seller handled my issue. They came through and made things good again.

We purchased this to go above our electric stove. We wanted something small so that when we built the hood around it we would have plenty of room.

Perfect fit, works fine. Nice finish.

Unit had zero suction power. If I hold a tissue up directly in front of the vent with the fan on high power, the tissue would not even move. Also made a rattling sound when the fan was running. Contacted customer support which was absolutely useless and provided zero troubleshooting suggestions. Now I have to uninstall the unit from the custom hood, repackage it, take it to the UPS store to send this one back and wait to get a replacement.

Upon arriving it looked to be a quality product, was excited to get it installed but now that I do have it installed I can't recommend it. The whole suction motor isn't balanced at all. So when it's on, even on the lowest setting, it vibrates horribly. I can see my entire cabinet shaking and therefore it is SUPER LOUD. I'd recommend spending a little more money and getting a better quality one.

Great fan and light. Finally had it mounted in a new range hood to match my cupboards. Looks really nice. The only complaint I have is not with the fan but with the company, the status on my fan when I first ordered it was close to the delivery and then all of a sudden I got an email stating that the fan had been lost in shipping and if I was still interested to reorder. So I reordered and the fan had gone up in price $40 so I don’t for one minute believe it was lost in shipping I think it was done purposely so they could raise the price. Being I had already ordered the new cover for it from the contractor I reordered the fan.

Just finished installing this range hood into our new kitchen! This is a built in hood design, which means you are inserting this into an enclosure of some sort. It is not a stand alone range hood. The build quality is very impressive. The stainless steel finish is very good and looks consistent. The build quality is very good - no loose seams and well finished corners. The S.S. baffles are excellent and straight as an arrow. The whole unit is sturdy but lightweight, so installation was a breeze! Once installed, the fan has three (3) speeds. I found that the highest speed is louder than our previous range hood, but not annoying - it provides ample air flow and is able to keep even the busiest range clean and clear! The other two settings are good as well. The LED's are very bright and provide a wide angle of light on both sides! It illuminates your range area with high effectiveness! Very impressive! Overall, this range hood is impressive!

The baffle filters on this are way too restrictive — testing it in free air (no duct work attached yet) the fan on all settings is super loud, and barely pulls any air through the filters. But removing the filters, it immediately gets quieter and pulls easily double or triple the air. So can’t see any value in this at all, when the filters are so restrictive, as on high fan it won’t even pull enough air in to catch the smoke off a candle from 20” above (and they are usually mounted way higher than that) Save yourself the headache and skip this one 👌
