Outstanding Performance

I received the burner and like that it was a direct replacement (size) for the original burner but don't be fooled by the name Music City Metals and think you are getting something made in the good old USA in Nashville, TN, because you are not. Each piece is "Made in Taiwan" which is clearly stamped on each piece. Everything fits perfectly fine together and installed in the grill easily but the Music City Metals made me think that a USA company was making a replica of the original. No where does it say made in USA in description that but that was my impression from their name. I have only use the grill one time since I replaced it and it appears to work fine but I could only get the grill up to about 400 or a little higher on high after approximately 15 minutes. I thought my original burner would reach 500 or more degrees, but it has been a while since I used it so I cannot confidently say what preheat temperature I could got with the original burner and since it is rusted out, I cannot test it.

This seems like a direct replacement for my original bow-tie shaped burner, but it did NOT come with the "gas tubes" as shown in the picture. I had to reuse my old gas tubes and transfer them to the new burner. It was also kind of a pain, and messy, and took a long time to remove the gas tubes from old burner and transfer the new burner.

This is the real deal! The Music City Metals 18782-74732 Stainless Steel Burner Replacement is the proper size, and it is made out of stainless steel, just like the Broilmaster original. DON'T BUY THE BROILMASTER REPLACEMENT AS IT IS TOO SMALL AND WILL DO A POOR JOB! I have the P3 series Broilmaster barbecue and it fits great. My only other suggestion is that if you have the original stainless steel ubing that attaches to the burner, I would re-use it rather than the replacement tubing from Music City mainly because the Music City version is plated steel and it may rust over time(see photos).I would suggest that you purchase from Amazon this Music City Metals 18782-74732 remanufactured version as it IS the proper size IS like the Broilmaster original and does a much better job cooking as the size is just like my original burner.

I tried the Broilmaster new (smaller) replacement burner. They said it performs the same as the original. It does not! This one is 21 inches in width. Broilmaster replacements are 17 inches. They may be the same BTU as they claim but they do not have heat to the edges and is not uniform in heat distribution. Definitely colder on the sides. Very disappointed in what Broilmaster does now. I bought a MHP grill for a vacation home because it was similar to what the Broilmaster used to be. I rebuilt the BroilMaster with non OEM parts that were similar to or same as original and it is working well. Only my igniter was from Broilmaster.

This is for anyone that owns a Broilmaster D 3 made before 2011. The Broilmaster factory replacement is 9-1/2x17 DPP-101. It works but burns the meat because the heat is too intense in the center and not over the whole grilling surface. I tested my grill and the person that said the 9-1/2x17 gets over 500 degrees is correct. The 10-1/2 x21-3/4 only gets on my grill to 450 degrees. The correct size is 10-1/2 x21-3/4 (18782-74732) for the broilmaster model before 2011. Broilmaster doesn't make it anymore. There is one made in Tawian to cover your whole grilling surface. Yes it comes with all parts but installs in 10 minutes and cooks more evenly on the older model.

Fits great right into original space. flame nice and even. Quality good. Grill is natural gas and is 22 years old. Original burner lasted 18 years. Hope this one does as well.

This reasonably priced replacement burner fit my older BroilMaster Grill Model:P3 perfectly. The BroilMaster part is smaller than the original, so I went with this one and I am quite please.

Crappy Steel, just barely stainless steel. Expensive but nobody else makes it so I am stuck with these. Original lasted 20yrs, Broilmaster Grill will be 33 in the spring! 5 different burners in 13yrs, this version last around 3yrs!

This burner fit the model barbecue as advertised.

Works as advertised. Have had the BBQ since 1996 (20 years!) Hoping for another good run with this replacement.
