My first watercolor journal.
This is the first watercolor journal I've got so I can't compare it to any others. The picture included has poor lighting (it started raining, cutting light). The journal is exactly as shown in the listing. I did mainly dry watercolor painting, fearing the lighter weight paper wouldn't handle a lot of water. It did okay. The cover is strong and will take a lot of beating.I did notice a page with a deep wrinkle, not a big deal for a student (such as myself) but a professional might be annoyed. I only found one. I also saw some flaking glue along some of the papers, again, not a big deal, as the thread binding kept everything in place. I'll find out later if this causes any problems. It was for these two things the rating dropped to four stars.I think this book is good for students.

Awesome Sketchbook for Watercolours
Love, love, love it :) been looking for a great watercolour sketchbook for a while as most I had found were just not doing a great job or were just simply too thin to work as a watercolour paper. Will definitely purchase again as soon as I get close to running out of space on this one, and also will be getting some different sizes. The paper is just awesome!

It does bleed through.
So far, I have used this for watercolour and Promarkers. When using Promarkers, it does make the other side of the sheet completely unusable due to layering the colours, and with watercolour, it takes great care to avoid bleeding through, so it’s worth keeping in mind. The paper is very nice to work with though, and I’ll buy more once I have finished this book.

Not fully treated for watercolour but ok
This comes at a lot less than moleskine or hannemule, and the pages appear to be of the same strength.Yes it will buckle, if you use too much water. But it's a sketch book and for me it is plenty - I now have all sizes of similar sketch books in a box, the images can be scanned, photographed, etc.Great practice when you have little space.

Decent paper and style, but lacks good binding
I've bought this a few times and regularly have at least one hardback watercolor book on the go for travellings. The landscape format and paper quality are both solid, but the binding isn't. Both books I've had have come away at the seams. Not completely - but enough to convince me to search elsewhere the next time. If Seawhite improved on this - then It would definitely be my go to book

Good value for everyday use, but not perfect condition
I haven't used the paper yet, so can't comment on the quality of that, though it does look a nice thickness and texture for what I want (everyday watercolour practice).Unfortunately it didn't come in perfect condition, as it has a few bumps and scrapes (see photos). One of these does affect the inside pages too which is quite disappointing, but as I have bought this just for a bit of practise, and not for professional use, it is not worth returning.
