A little disappointing!!
I was expecting green and received red! They were bright and mageable, and the came quickly!

Excellent.
The module gets only slightly warm after 5 minutes continuous use. Powered at 2.8 volts with a bench top power supply. Takes about 10 seconds to fully ramp up. So if it is dim when first powered just give it a moment. However it is very bright - enough to see on a matte black cardboard surface where reflection is negligible. The line is crisp and clear especially in the center most parts. Edges (ends of the line) show a little distortion; but acceptable. There is a little visible interference pattern along the lines length on each side, but you have to look for it. Application for leveling and marking a cut line for a tool of some sort. Would purchase again.

What I needed
May need to wire a small capacitor into your circuit to bring it to full brightness quickly.

Bright, but very uneven and fat line
Not really suitable for my purpose. The projected line is roughly 2mm thick in the middle, and fades rapidly out from the center to the ends. Definitely not "professional" grade laser.
