Brings The Galaxy Indoors
I may be biased on this product because I love space. But even my friends, who aren't as into space as I am, always enjoy the cool light show that displays on my ceiling at night. This projector brings the galaxy indoors. It comes with multiple different slides that are easy to change out. Some of them are actual copies of Hubble photographs of space. The pictures are clear and can be adjusted if they aren't. I like that there is a realistic element to the display on this projector, instead of just lights on the ceiling. It rotates slowly and quietly. You can also change the setting so that it doesn't rotate at all. At first I had it sitting on a table in the room, but it only covered about 1/4 of the ceiling. I moved it to the floor and now the projection covers the entire ceiling of a 10x10' room. It's pretty cool.

Impressive, but only in a circle
This Dongni Galaxy Projector, 13 in 1 Planetarium Star Projector Realistic Starry Sky is pretty impressive, but to be honest, I was expecting an immersive experience (as in, I expected the stars to surround me like a planetarium would and like a planetarium, I expected detailed constellations, which are not there). In that respect, I was disappointed because it's really only a circular display. However, the photos are quite impressive, but it takes a bit to adjust to get the necessary clarity for each slide. Even though they say they are real photos, (I don't believe that for the solar system image, which actually looks like the earth is getting destroyed), many of these pictures are blurry in parts and lack depth. They look more like artist renderings, than real photos. Even the Milky Way, which does look nice and I like the color, is a very flat picture. This really is just a projector, not a planetarium experience. However, one thing that did impress me though, is the 13th slide (that comes pre installed in the projector), because of the effect that happens on my ceiling. When the slide is protected, the small stars go across the texture on my ceiling and give a twinkling effect that I wasn't prepared to see, but like alot. I've always hated popcorn ceilings, but I now have a new appreciation for it. I also have a giant mirror in my room, which actually gives a better view of the projection, than looking directly at my ceiling.I got a whole better experience when I placed the projected image closer to the mirror, which doubled the field, and it really gave me the wow factor.I still don't think this should be advertised as a "planetarium", but it is pretty nifty. I wish they had other slides to choose from, even if they sold them separately (like themes of "constellations", "nature shots", etc).It is also very quiet and rotates steadily. It does shift a little here and there (not sure why) but it's not toppled or anything. The slides do get warm, so I would recommend keeping the operation to 2 hours max at a time.I can recommend this product, as long as those getting it are aware it's not exactly like the advertised photos show.

A Galaxy Projector with Potential, but Limited by Design Choices
Title: A Galaxy Projector with Potential, but Limited by Design ChoicesAs a massive space nerd who has dedicated their life to studying astrophysics, I was thrilled when the Dongni Galaxy Projector arrived in the mail. At $50, I assumed this was a reasonably high-quality model, considering its size and the fact that it's essentially projecting light through a printed film image.Upon setting up the projector and closing my blackout curtains, I was treated to a lovely high-resolution image of the galaxy on my white wall. The included slides offer a small variety of images, most of which are common stock photos that space enthusiasts have seen many times before. Nonetheless, it was nice to have some options to choose from. However, I quickly noticed a strange design choice – the projector lacks the ability to point horizontally towards a wall. While I understand it's meant for ceilings, this seems like an easy feature to include, and its absence left me a bit baffled. This issue became even more apparent when I set the projector down in my room and looked up, only to find that the stucco ceilings completely ruined the image. Although it's common knowledge to use smooth surfaces for projections, I was disappointed that the images were unrecognizable on my textured ceiling. It's clear that if the bulb inside the projector had more power, I might have been able to use it in my room and still see a bit of the galaxy above me, despite the textured surface. The other features, such as the spinning function and timer, are nice additions but are so standard that I would have been shocked if they weren't included. In conclusion, the Dongni Galaxy Projector offers nice resolution and decent color in a perfectly dark room with a perfectly flat ceiling. However, the lack of power for textured surfaces and its inability to turn 90 degrees were unfortunately deal breakers for me. Perhaps when I move to a place with smoother ceilings, I'll finally be able to sleep with the galaxy above me.

This thing is so cool!
I thought this was going to be more of a kid item but this thing is legit! It is very much an adult oriented realistic projector with accurate slides. It's like having a planetarium in your home. The kids do love it but my girlfriend and I enjoy it more than they do. We also have a very nice telescope and this brings things to life that you struggle to see with the telescope because of light pollution. Overall I would recommend this for anyone who has an interest in space.
