I like that this kit provides you the most uncommon tools to complete the trigger replacement. The metal trigger was sturdy and fit well. The included Torx screwdriver is essential. The included pry tool is also a helpful addition. Furthermore, because the exterior phillips screws on my unit were set in Extremely tight, I damaged several of them while removing them, so the included replacement torx and philips screws proved essential for reassembly. The only other essential tools not included in the kit is a #1 phillips screwdriver and a pair of long needle nose pliers. The trigger replacement took about an hour from start to finish while following along a YouTube video. It is definitely not the easiest repair to do and you have patience and a considerable amount of strength to safely remove those pesky exterior phillips screws, but it was well worth it.

Great replacement piece! Much stronger than the plastic version and it comes with two. I don't think I will have to replace it again but it's nice to have an extra. Watch YouTube for repair instructions. It will show you step by step how to repair the trigger. It's really nice that the tools come with the trigger. Perfect repair kit! Last time I had a Dyson repaired it cost over $125. So this is a great deal.

Did the job. New trigger has a better feel than the original and seems to be working well. The overall job took a little longer than expected but was straight forward. Using the video link to refer to during the disassembly and assembly process is very important. The special tools and extra screws included was very helpful..."You can do it!"

This worked but took me approximately 3 hours and I was at a point I thought that I should have gone to a professional. The trigger they provided is of good quality and made of metal. However the screw driver is not of good quality. The screw on circuit was tightened very hard and this screw driver could not just loosen it rather it destroyed the groove, not allowing me to open it. At that time I thought I did more damage then fixing as there was no way to get off wires from the circuit. Later after 1 hour of deligent and careful work without breaking the circuit I was able to pull out the screw with a professional plier I got from my neighbor, that allowed me to finish the job. One of the screw groove inside hand broke when pushing back the assembly (so be careful, but it is was minor issue as assembly gets tightened once you put batteries in), in addition the wires are of exact length that goes to circuit if they twist around (specially the small one on circuit board) you cannot put them back on circuit board so be careful. I had to redo and take out wire assembly couple of times. Extra screws provided with kit did help (as new ones tightened better) and so is two trigger as I went wrong in putting first trigger and deshaped it. Overall I am content as it eventually worked for me saving a few hundred dollars. Surprised with Dyson's use of flimsy material for switch, problem was exactly same as described by YouTubers. Yes if I am asked to do this again one more time probably it will take less time But don't go by the videos set aside couple of hours to do this carefully.

The trigger should be metal from the factory! This replacement was fairly easy to install with a YouTube video to guide me. I don't know why they gave me two, because there's basically zero chance this will break again!

The tools that are included with this trigger kit are very useful! The Torx screwdriver included with this kit was very good and will last for more than one use. Usually free tools have weak screwheads that become dull, but not this screwdriver. The trigger is also a good replacement for the original, it fits correctly and works.

Worked perfectly

These fit just perfect into my Dyson cordless vac. Much better then the original plastic trigger; I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did on my vacuum. This is not an easy replacement though. Almost the entire vacuum has to be taken apart including 2 electrical connections that must be bent to open the unit. Once open, it is just a matter of easily swapping out the triggers, and re-assembling. The long torx driver is a must, and glad they added it. None of the extensions I had in my tools would reach a few of the bolts. Only drawback is that it came with 2 triggers. Could have dropped the price a bit and left that out. It will still be in my parts bin until the entire vacuum wears out probably.
