A great comfort cot, for camping, and sleepovers. Easy stow
An excellent camping cot, and certainly beats sleeping on the ground/iso mat, by a long shot. I spent 12yrs professionally sleeping on the ground with the Marines. An iso mat only goes so far, and if your like me, you're always setting up in the dark, and you always find the worst root that only a full size mattress could conceal. The mattress pad is nice, I've camped with, and without, and there's a huge difference. After a few days my hips started to ache every morning, when I woke up, not using the pad, during a week long camp. I decided to forego the pad due to space saving, but I doubt I'll do that again. With the pad, I slept just as well as I do at home, although my low standards of comfort are compared to an isomat on a root, so, you can always throw an iso mat under the pad of you want it's extra cushy. This cot is ideal, I'm 6'2, plenty long enough, even with a pillow. Super compact, which is important when the whole family goes, and as far as the space footprint, no larger than a standard iso mat, so it's not going to cramp your tent up any more than an iso mat would. If you're in a small dome tent, might be some concern with the height, and concave shape of those tents, but at 47yrs old, and Marine Corps knees, I am not crawling unless my life depends on it, so I get a tent I can stand up in. The over build is quite sturdy, I weigh 235lbs, and there's no concerning sounds when I get on. Just don't use it as a ladder, as it is a cot, and that's an excellent weigh to ruin a cot, and your tent all in one go. The look is fine, it's a cot though, so I'm not sure why aesthetic matters, but if it does, then the cot, looks like a cot, in whatever color you picked. There's space underneath for a small pack, your shoes or whatever, and this multi-pouch dangly thing on the side. Few small pouches on the front, one large pouch in the back, that would be good for a book, wallet, whatever small items you don't want on the floor, if your tent were to leak. I use it primarily for my vape mod, phone, and earbuds. The thickness is actually thicker than the standard military cots, and WAY easier to set up, than a cot that assembles similarly. That last end bar on a military cot is awful. This cot opens up like any folding chair. As with anything with a folding chair design, the fail points would be the little aluminum pins at the joints. Keep a 2-4 zip ties handy, feed 2 through the hole that the pin was formerly occupying, and you're able to finish out your camp out, without sleeping on the ground. Highly recommend this one.

Cot for all sizes
Is exactly how I expected. Folds out nice. Is long and easy to use. The pad is pretty good for what it’s worth. Soft and thicker than expected. Very durable. Well worth the purchase. Easy to fold out and put away. Easy to carry. Great buy! Can’t wait to use it for camping.

Better than the ground.
I know my title seems like faint praise... But really this is a pretty good buy. The two big problems for me are how short the legs are and that the storage bag is not designed to hold the cot AND the pad. The storage/carry bag is also not well made. Thin material that won't hold up well. Other than that this really is much better than sleeping on the ground/floor and it does provide comfort. The side pouch is also handy for holding things like glasses, keys, phone, so they're close and handy when needed. I would be willing to purchase this again.

The mattress is very thin and doesn't fit in the carry bag.
Sturdy and strong, but the mattress/pad is not even close to the quality that it appears to be in the pictures, at all. It is extremely thin and flat so I'll have to get a better pad, but it is def more comfortable than an air mattress. I'm also very disappointed that it will not fold and fit in the bag with the pad on the bed, and the bag is not big enough to stuff the pad inside it, so it not a portable a I would have liked. For the price it is decent, but I'm 5'6 250 lbs and it's gonna need a thicker pad for me, there's no way someone over 300 lbs could use this, and it's rated for 400 lbs.

Top Notch!
This is a beast but in a small package! It's not overly heavy or awkward to carry. It can pack up super easily for camping or travel. Very comfy and it keeps you off the ground. Just open bag and set it up in less than five minutes, super easy!!

The ARAER Camping Cot Review: My Quest for a Decent Night's Sleep My history with camping involves a long, bitter battle with the ground. It's a relationship of uneven lumps, rogue pinecones, and a cold that seems to radiate directly into your bones, no matter how thick your sleeping pad is. I've tried it all, and the result is always the same: a night of tossing, turning, and waking up with a sore back. So, when I got the ARAER Camping Cot, I knew its true test would be whether it could finally help me win my war against the earth. The Trial: The Great Unfolding I've learned that the last thing you want after a long day of hiking is a complex piece of gear that requires an engineering degree to set up. My field test for the ARAER cot was simple: Could it unfold and be ready for me without an existential crisis? The answer, to my profound relief, was a resounding "yes." This cot lives up to its "no installation required" promise. It’s a simple unfolding motion, and bam! You have a solid, elevated bed. It's so easy that the real challenge was not overthinking it. I managed to set it up in under 10 seconds, which is a new personal record for any piece of camping gear. It's also surprisingly compact when folded up and tucks away neatly in its carry bag, fitting easily in my car without a single game of gear Tetris. It's truly a game-changer, providing a comfortable, off-the-ground sanctuary. The only surprise came when I laid down and realized my head was slightly elevated. It was like the cot was preemptively suggesting how many pillows I should use, a little bedside assistant in a world of uneven ground. The Verdict: The Honest Truth, with a Punchline This cot is a marvel of simplicity and a fortress of comfort. What I Loved (The Superpowers): The Instant Setup: This is its undisputed superpower. It’s so quick and easy, I'm convinced it could be used as an emergency rest stop in a zombie apocalypse. The Heavy-Duty Build: This thing is a tank. The high-strength steel tubes and durable fabric feel incredibly stable, and it supports up to 450 lbs, so it's not going anywhere. The Side Pocket: This small detail is a massive win. I could stash my phone, a headlamp, and a snack right next to me, which is a luxury I didn’t know I needed until now. What I Learned (The Punchlines): The "Built-in Pillow" Feature: The head end of the cot does not lay flat, which is both a blessing and a curse. It's a pro if you're a minimalist who likes a single, low-profile pillow, but a con if you're a pillow enthusiast. I just call it a "built-in headrest" and adjust accordingly. The Final Word The ARAER Camping Cot is for anyone who wants to say goodbye to sleeping on the cold, hard ground forever. It's an essential piece of gear for car campers, over-packers, and anyone who's had enough of a sore back from a camping trip. This cot even survived my war against lumpy earth, so I'm pretty sure it can handle anything you throw at it.

Honestly great for the price. My 13 year old loves sleeping on it. I am a mid-size adult woman and I find it a bit too narrow for my liking but honestly great to have for something extra. It fits perfectly in my 9x10 tent with a queen sized air matress. Folds up super easy for travel and storage

It’s a nice package and real easy setup, but it’s not entirely comfy for side sleepers like me, especially a big dude. Still pretty decent.
