M-ATX Build with GTX 5080 and Ryzen 9800x3d
I recently built a system using the Lian Li A3 and I’m genuinely impressed. As someone who wanted a true m-ATX build without sacrificing looks or quality, this case hit all the marks. The compact footprint is one of my favorite aspects—it fits perfectly on my desk without feeling cramped, yet still offers excellent airflow and clearance for components. Lian Li clearly optimized the space well: there’s room for a full-sized GPU, multiple storage drives, and tidy cable routing despite the smaller form factor. I was worried about space restrictions, but assembly was intuitive and comfortable even for a first-time builder. Build quality feels premium, with solid panels and clean finishes that elevate the overall look. The case stays cool under load, and the included fan support is great for keeping thermals in check. If you’re building a high-performance m-ATX rig and want something that looks great and performs as well as it looks, the A3 is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend for m-ATX enthusiasts who want a balance of size, performance, and aesthetics!

Reddit was right
I bought this case after seeing many people in the Micro Form Factor Reddit rave about it. I bought a Lian Li Lancool II several years ago and found it to be the best case I had ever built in and have been following Lian Li since. This case boasts a beautiful set of wood panels on front that still allow plenty of airflow to enter. The amount of mesh all around the case meant there was plenty of airflow to dissipate heat without cranking the fans which helps keep it nearly silent. The frame of the case even without the side fan mount is extremely sturdy with absolutely no flex. Building in it was very straightforward, directions show how to mount an ATX or SFF power supply and it was simple. Size was perfect for an ATX motherboard but there’s no room for cable management so it took me as a very seasoned PC builder quite a while to get my cable runs situated which isn’t something I’d recommend for someone who’s new to PC building, but is easy for anyone who’s worked in any SFF case and wants the expandability of a Micro-ATX motherboard. Overall for the price I think this is a case I can recommend to everyone, it’s got beautiful aesthetics, high performance cooling, and a build quality that feels like it should cost a lot more.

Great small case
Wow, I have built my fair share of personal systems over the years and by and far, this was the best quality case I’ve ever used. Cable routing is good, I used an mATX board, full size Seasonic power supply, full sized GPU (RX 5700 XT), Noctua air cooler with one fan (smaller Noctua, can’t remember model) and everything fit fine. The power supply was the only odd thing since it mounted in front of the case instead of the back like I am used to. A bit of a puzzle to figure out based on the manual how it fit but Lian Li provides a bunch of adapters so different sizes of things can be installed. I thought the adapters were necessary so that threw me off until I figured that out. Only thing I didn’t add was two internal SSDs because frankly I didn’t need them and wanted to minimize my cabling. I am using an nvme drive so am good there. I did have to buy two additional Noctua case fans because there are none in this case but they are cheap enough. One on top exhausting and one in the rear, exhausting. The case is quiet, fits on my desk, the wood front looks great and it’s super easy to take the top or sides off if I need to. Recommended!

Great case but bad cable management
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer). * These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: I recently built a new audio production computer and wanted it to be a little smaller than my normal builds. I ordered this case because I liked the wooden slats on the front. Likes: * The case looks awesome when loaded with lighting and PC components. The wood adds a very nice touch. * Fan options are super customizable. I have it loaded with eight case fans, which has gone a long way to keeping my build cool. The fan noise level can get loud, but that's more to my choice in fans than this case. * The smaller footprint is awesome. I appreciate that this does not take up a ton of room on my desk. * There are a lot of great internal features. I like how the PS is mounted toward the front. No likes: * The cable management options are awful. I didn't realize it was this bad when I ordered it, or I might not have chosen this case. I was able to make it work and it still looks great, but it took a lot more effort than it should have. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes, even with the poor cable management system I would order this again. I really like this case. Final thoughts: This got the aesthetic I wanted along with the cooling options I needed for under $100. That's a win to me, even if cable management is bad.

Decent case at a decent price
I got this case to host a scientific instrument control PC. This is distinct from a gaming build: we don't want raw power, just reliability. No giant coolers or GPUs here, so it's quite spacious while simultaneously being nice and compact. I got the simple white version. It's not going to wow anyone with its aesthetics, but it is decently attractive and matches the color of the instrument. It wasn't the easiest case I've ever assembled, but by no means was it difficult or challenging. It's well made and solid: I have no concerns about anything coming loose or being damaged in shipping. One thing I don't love is how the PSU is mounted internally, with the case supplying its own power switch. I prefer to use the PSU's own power switch directly, but we're splitting hairs here. In the end, it's not enough of a problem to remove a full star. Last but not least, the placement of the front USB ports at the bottom of the case is not ideal for a small desk. Can't think of anything else that needs to be said here... it's a decent case at a decent price. I'd use it again.

11-Liter SFF Hall of Famer
This case is absolutely amazing, punching well above its weight class. Let's start off with what I have inside mine -- an i7 12700K and am RTX 3090 TUF, powered by a Cooler Master V850 SFX PSU. Man, does this case make it happen. The H2O is able to handle this kind of power because the CPU is liquid-cooled, and the GPU sits on the other side of this sandwich style case. The case itself is rock solid, utilizing a near tool-less snap-together design and plenty of ventilation for its size. It is larger than the previous model (Dan A4 SFX), due to the intention of this being water-cooled. I opted for an MSI CoreLiquid 240R ARGB V2, since the water block is small and offers ARGB. It tames the temps well on my 12700K. You'll need to make sure your AIO will fit in this case, as there are many that won't -- either because the pump/water block is too tall or because the hoses are too thick. You'll also want something that has hoses on swivel elbows. Otherwise, routing the hoses and closing this case will be next to impossible. This was hands-down the hardest aspect of building in this case -- managing the AIO hoses. The A4-H2O gets a lot right. You can cool some higher end CPUs, use a full length GPU, and a semi-pleasant building experience. To top it off, it looks amazing, and the parts are high quality. Just keep your hands off the case, as the finish shows off fingerprints well. This case is an excellent competitor for the NR200, because it's 8 liters smaller, and has nearly all-metal construction. To me this one is the obvious choice. Also in this form factor I would avoid i9 CPUs entirely. They eat up too much power, and make too much heat. My experience with this case has been fantastic, but it did leave me wanting more. Having a liquid-cooled, 11.24-liter PC means it's going to be a tad heavy. It's also too big to fit into my DSLR camera bag. I also think this case's width dimension would be a tight fit in a carry on-size tough case like one from Pelican. If you need a small form factor PC for saving desk space, this is an excellent option. That's the niche this serves for me, and it delivers. Maybe you can make this a portable powerhouse for more than gaming. Its too big and heavy for me. Personally, I've found my 8.1-liter KXRORS S300 case to be a better road warrior, because it fits in my DSLR bag and weighs less. Sure, that one can't be as powerful, but it games very well, albeit a little louder.

Tiny, but cooling well
Amazing case - fit a microATX Gigabyte motherboard, 5070, and everything needed to keep it cool. Easy to install, and amazing looking for the office - more like a piece of furniture. Dust does get pretty thick on top, but a quick vacuum once a month and it's good to go.

Asus 5080 Astral approved!!
So far this case is flipping awesome! I had my doubts about trying to stuff an Asus 5080 Astral in it but was able to do so. The gpu temp is always around 57-62c when running Ghost of Tsushima on ultra settings. Granted, no fans fit underneath the gpu but everything stays nice and cool even while gaming for 3-4 hours! I have my fans on so you can hear the fans but it’s not overly noisy. It’s a very robust case and seems Very sturdy. The case was easy to build except trying to stuff my 5080 Astral in it lol This case was definitely worth it and fit the look I was going for. Definitely great value for the money!
