For older machines with an 8 mm RH thread
This is the only head I could find that fitted my very old strimmer 8mm RH thread. Works ok

Instructions for fitting to UM3830
Good solid product, but not a simple replacement for UM3830. I fitted smaller threaded adaptor into head, but strimmer stud wouldn't reach with anti tangle disk fitted. So fitted without disc. Fired up motor and everything seized solid :-( Had to remove head and guard to expose cable drive from motor. Was then able to use screwdriver to unlock head from strimmer body. Adjusted threaded adaptor in head to be flush with underside. Could now fit anti tangle plate and strimmer stud fitted perfectly. Works fine and much better design than original head. Perseverance got there in the end. It would have been useful to have some instructions, not sure how to fit the spare springs?

Brilliant product
Best type of head you can put on a strimmer, child’s play to fit, really good quality & one fill of cord lasts a while so you spend a lot more time strumming & less refilling.

Head fits OK. But said slight box damage , I'm sure some parts missing ??

Was very easy to install and works great so far on my 36v makita weed eater. Seems like it’s very good quality
