The flat answer
Is yes get it, cause it's the only one (at this time, to my knowledge) with flat burrs and because the built is superlative

Uniform particle size, pleasure to use.
I was wondering if I should buy it. I am new to coffee making in general and have been wondering if I should get this particular one for good 9 months. I wanted it because of the flat burrs, as my old conical one it's not that is bad but it had some thing in the grind that were a bit weird. So I bit the bullet (import price to Austria) said F it and got it. to put it shortly - I am not disappointed, on the contrary I am very vey VERY happy with what I see. very uniform grind, very quick (in comparison to my old one). Nice shape so easy to grip. And with the grinds for the coffees I made for Espresso and some Moka style I have no complains and they were very tasty. The grinder is all metal (aside from the nice wooden handle) very well build and quite sturdy. The ease of switching between grind settings is very convenient. I would have wanted if it gave the relative grind particle size instead of numbers or maybe etched that 2 = 180 microns, but that is just my engineering mind talking :D. all and all I am happy with how the grinder works and I can totally recommend it.

Excellent Coffee Grinder
I have been looking for a coffee grinder for some time that grinds differently than the conical system (Comandante type). I had considered buying a KINU, they have a different conical system. Then I accidentally found these Cafesing. It was immediately clear to me that this is what I need. And I was not mistaken. My option is with a flat burr because I tend more towards espresso. Cafesing is a great coffee grinder - rock solidly made, understandable, easy to maintain and gives new flavor options. About the flavors - if conical systems give a kind of even mix of flavors, then this Cafesing highlights the main leading flavors separately. It is another interesting game of flavors. That is what I wanted to achieve. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Very solid, great quality. It’s a bit of an arm workout but the coffee is worth it!

Is able to extract more sweetness from light roasted beans.
Grind quality: Feels very smooth Works well: I am able to extract more sweetness from light roasted beans. Interesting to note: You can use a drill with it no problem. But you will lose aromatics of the coffee beans.

Working man coffee snob must have
Makes me feel classy and colonial at the same time. Well engineered and can dial in the perfect grind. Plus the action helps wake me up before the caffeine hit.

Inconsistent
Ended up returning this because there is not marking for coarseness level and the grind was extremely inconsistent. One shot would pull really runny, I would make a minimal adjustment and the next shot would barely drip.

コーヒー豆轢くときの感触がとても好きです。 豆残りする感じがしますが、少しだけ斜めに持ちながら轢く時間を楽しんでいます。

I like manual tools for coffee because I can rely on them over time and even while camping. This grinder works great, has built in adjustment and gets my beans right for my expresso pour-overs. Simple to use, clean and dissasemble, and most of all really satisfying to crank if you are into that like I am.

I think this coffee grinder is great. It works well, and I really like how even the grind is. I think the product itself is designed pretty well, and feels nice in the hand. I think if you’re looking for a premium manual coffee grinder that feels heavy duty, this is great. Here’s what I like about it: -It looks great -It’s heavy -Feels well made -Washes easily (hand wash though) -Makes a great gift -The grinds are even -Simple to adjust how small the grind is And here’s what I don’t like about it: -It takes a lot of turns to get any grinds out of it -0 care instructions -No instructions in the box at all -The video on how to take it apart isn’t great Something that I’d really like them to improve are the instructions. There’s none in the box, and when you look online it’s actually quite difficult to get the right instructions for the grinder. Once I got there, the instructions are so basic that they forget to mention that the nut they use to hold the grinder together is reverse thread. The other thing that I’m going to mention, is that this grinder in particular takes quite a long time to get any grinds out of it. At least compared to my previous (like $20) manual grinder. The thing is, I do like the grinder. I just wish they would’ve spent more time on explaining cleaning and how to take it apart. It feels like such a simple thing, but it just makes the product feel like all the time was spent on the product, and making that good, rather than the experience of using it. I’m going to give this product 4 stars because the product itself is good, and I like it. I just would rather have everything laid out and properly explained.

As you unbox this coffee grinder, you have zero doubt as to its high quality. This would make a fine gift for someone who aims to make better coffee at home than they'll get at Starbucks, who's happy to enter advanced coffee technical education, because it is quite technical in what it does while being a breeze to operate. It would make a fine gift for a Black Apron level barista. It comes in a good quality reusable box and is easy to turn, exceptionally smooth bearings. This manual grinder is perfect for the cabin, RV or for simply creating a morning coffee ritual. I misplaced the instructions but the ElephantNum Coffee website offers nicely laid-out technical coffee education, including the grinding manual for each of the three grinders in this family. The manual for this one is awesome! No awkward instructions, but a lifestyle article that's interesting on the different kinds of grinders and how they produce different grinds, aromas, etc. I honestly couldn't tell you the difference between conical burr, flat burr or ghost burr, but am happy to learn on this flat burr grinder.
