Best release ever.
This is the absolute best release I have ever used. In 40 years of fighting with other releases that worked ok, but not near as well as this one. It took me about three attempts to get the tension set just right. But now it's spot on every time. I highly recommend this release.

This has to be the best release on the market. Easy to set and works great.

For downrigger fishing, these are the best. The typical Scotty crimp style releases, 'self release' under too little pressure. The Chamberlain release is much better in that regard and it also allows for a softer release at the fishes end . You don't drag around smaller fish since that pressure is adjusted for separately.

An expensive but worthwhile alternative to clip releases
I troll for a variety of species from crappie to lake trout. I love the fact that I no longer have to guess how deeply I need to set the line in the release clips I use to use. The release tension on these are easily set. No more false releases and no more dragging around a fish that didn’t trip the release.

Best releases in my opinion. Once the tension is dialed in no problem. I’ve drug small walleye with normal releases due to them not releasing. With these no problem.
