A true heavy duty tarp!
I was tired of the flimsy blue tarps that you can buy everywhere, including the pharmacy. I needed to cove bags of wood pellet fuel so they stay dry all winter. Sometimes we get snow and ice that sits on the stack of pellets. The ice and snow slowly melt and penetrates the blue woven tarp material. Each season the blue tarp material seems to degrade and be less water-proof. Enough! I spent more on this tarp in hopes of a better product. The tarp is much thicker and stronger. It is immediately apparent that the tarp is in deed "heavy duty" and superior to the cheap blue material. This tarp is stiffer and does not wrap around things like the blue material. I do not need to be able to wrap a bicycle or grill. I need to protect a pallet load of bagged wood pellets from rain and snow. This tarp will do it. The eyes seem strong and of good quality. I believe this tarp would be very good as a temporary roof material over an RV or shed. It is great if you want to protect an outdoor generator or piece of equipment. Have a leaky convertible top on a classic car? This will keep things dry. Overall this IS a much heavier duty tarp. It is more water-proof than the blue material. Since it is also thicker I believe it will probably last longer and resist sun damage better than the cheap blue woven tarps. These are the Pros of the product. The only Con is that the tarp is not super-flexible. But I do not think we can have it be both thick and heavy duty and behave like a thin blue tarp. I plan on reporting back how this tarp performs over the winter. Right now it is a winner.

Best tarps I've found
I've bought several in different sizes. These are tough & durable. Using for firewood, boat winter cover. So far all have lasted 3 years under snow, ice ... Well worth the extra cost.

Excellent quality and value. Just get this. Recommended. Can't be beat.
I've just received this tarp, and I've had a chance to compare it with a "heavy duty" brown tarp from Home depot I just bought and used several weeks ago. This tarp was just about 4 dollars more for the same exact size, but much more heavy duty. The 16 ml thickness is noticeably more heavy duty/rugged compared to the HD tarp, which is only listed as 10 - 12 ml, and there is really a noticeable weight difference between the two tarps. The grommets on this tarp are very well attached, and I really get the impression that this tarp is an order of magnitude better than anything available at my local HD or Lowes. In fact, I had a second HD heavy duty tarp that was unopened, and I returned that. I figured for an extra 4 bucks, I can get another one of these, which is far far superior. Look, I've gone through several of these medium sized tarps lately, with the Arizona sun and monsoon winds destroying them, .....nothing lasts forever, But, this particular Super Heavy Duty tarp is a great bargain. For the high quality and decent price, you cannot match or beat this deal. Great product compared to anything else out there, and I've looked and shopped around locally and on line.

good tarp that has survived its first winter
The tarp has made it thru the first winter in the Appalachians and still looks new. If I can keep the squirrels and chipmunks from chewing holes in it, it looks like it will last many more. Quality made and much heavier than the normal short lived blue tarps. UPDATE - the tarps are entering their 3rd winter and are still in good shape.

HOLDING UP VERY WELL after 2 1/2 years of continual use.
I have used this Harpster 10'x12' brown 16 mil thick 8 oz tarp to lay horizontally over the top opening of my basement stairs, replacing wood or metal door closures. The tarp has been in use daily for 2 1/2 years (installed 10/2019) under CA sunlight for half day and shows NO signs of fading, fraying, coming apart at the seams or at the grommets, leaking, disintegrating or any other wear conditions. The tarp is not walked upon. Warning: the tarp shrank about 3/4 inch after it was installed and so the grommets no longer align with the wood screws originally drilled into a wood board for securing and fastening. I don't know how polyethylene shrinks but it happens. I am very pleased with the quality of this tarp and how well made it is and would purchase it again.

Really is "super heavy duty" and looks much better than a blue tarp
Tarp is exactly as described. It really is "super heavy duty." I needed a heavy duty tarp to cover a workbench and some tools outside. This tarp is doing a great job protecting them--rain, snow, wind, whatever. Grommets are set well and reliable. The common blue tarp has its place. They work fine for a while. I've used plenty of them. But they look very temporary and obvious in a neighborhood of nice homes. This dark brown tarp looks much better than a blue tarp. It's thicker than just about any blue tarp, too. It will last longer. Glad I got this brown tarp.

Best tarps I have used.
At one time I ordered four different brands of tarps, the same thickness, for my farm equipment. After an Ohio winter the Harpsters were hands down the best of the four. The tarps that are not moved last over two years. The one's that are moved regularly last two years.

Stands Up to Time and UV Exposure.
I use this tarp to cover my Jacuzzi, when its not in use. The old cover, which is the exact same tarp from the same company lasted for 9.5 years, and it was really just starting to not be functional. The new cover looks and feels the same as the old tarp, when it was new, so i am thinking i will get the equal performance. I live in Michigan, and so this cover sees full sun in the summer, and snow and cold temps. in the winter. Overall, I am very satisfied, and recommend this product!
